In the show, we saw Terra ending the relationship in the finale, but in the actual comic storyline ('Terra II'), it was Beast Boy who ended the relationship, understanding that all Terra did to him since her return was bring back unpleasant memories. Add to that was the fact that he was getting romantically interested in Raven by the time Terra came back, anyway.
And that's where the "being killed off and revived" part comes in, because not only was there a gap via the cop-out answer to Terra's "demise" (her turning to stone on the show was the kiddie equivalent to her being crushed by rocks in the comics), but the comics themselves revived Terra ('Terra II'), which allowed for the series finale, which was the animated equivalent to the 'Terra II' storyline wherein Beast Boy & Terra officially ended the relationship.
phoneme: "but Beast Boy/Terra were a much better couple" Not if you understand Terra's character, as even the animated series creators admitted to essentially watering down the 'Judas Contract' storyline Marv Wolfman & George Perez wrote and instead of being a insane power-mad whore (comics, wherein she's a sex-with-Slade-having & chain-smoking psychopath), Terra was merely a misguided teen. Regardless though, the main aspects of the storyline--the betrayal and heartbreak--remained intact.
Blonde: Funny how that scene--where Beast Boy caused "Happy" to laugh--fits with the end of this song. I've said that Beast Boy's jovial attitude could be good for Raven, but...not to that extent. XD
Just think of this...the same company to bring forth the Titan girls and the DC Universes (the comic DCU wherein the comic Titans reside, the animated DCAU, and the animated universe in which Teen Titans: The Animated Series resides) in general is the same company who owns the likes of Animaniacs, Pinky & the Brain, Freakazoid, et al (because Time Warner owns both DC and Warner Brothers & Cartoon Network).

The problem is that Raven is not attracted to Robin *that* way, given Robin/Starfire as canon (and in comics, Beast Boy/Raven is also canon).
