  • Terrific record. Did not know Bubber Miley ever made an Edison.

Early DD phono.....Is it one of the ones that Brunswick built for Edison?

  • Wow. This is one of the best blues records on Edison and one of the best of Bubber Miley. This is the probably the best version of this song issued.

  • Thank you, MrXnews, for your nice comments. I would agree with you. It's a great record and very well recorded.

  • WOW! its amazing what an edisonic reproducer can do for some acoustic recordings! nice edisonic reproducer and great sounding record. this is a great and clean copy.. definately a favorite now!! :))

  • Thank you so much for your nice comments! I have always been impressed by the sound produced by this reproducer. I only wish all of my Edison reproducers sounded this nice! Thanks for stopping in for a visit.

  • Can I find this on eBay??

  • Thanks for your comments. Not sure what you are referring to here but if you are inquiring whether you might find a copy of this Edison record for sale on eBay I would say that anything is possible. Expect to pay a premium price for it If you are competing with others who also see it and recognize its historical significance on Edison and general desirability of the record.

  • You should put the needle on the 1st groove and not the edge!

  • After collecting vintage phonographs and vintage disc and cylinder records for more than 20 years I think I know how to play an Edison Diamond Disc record by now. The diamond stylus was lowered on the record exactly where I wanted it and exactly where the manufacturer recommended that it be lowered which is on the "skating surface" near the outer rim of the record. I have more that 7,000 Edison Diamond Discs in my collection and have never damaged a single one. Thank you for visiting.

  • Very unusual to hear such hard core blues on an Edison Diamond Disc. I see that Edison wasted no time in affixing a red star to this one--a fate shared by all the blues records on DD.
