Kinda makes sense for a guy (Wizard even) who's met and spoken to death numerous times (not to mention running away from him), been picked up as a playing piece from the world game board and (best of all) hidden in the bosom of a cheating goddess, etc, etc. ;D

I love how he takes the cursor away from the player in the first one if you click him to many times.

God i miss these games, discworld, broken sword they were great games sometimes id be stuck for months trying to solve puzzles and using and combining clues hoping to get a result, i wish they would make more games like this and i love the gta games and the like but id prefer the old point and click games anyday.

Oh my god, nostalgia. This was totally one of my first computer games ever ... I think I got it when I was like 6 or 7 and would play it all entranced thinking to myself something like, "I don't really understand wtf is going on in this weird-ass world, but it's entertaining!"

The biggest help in this game is that Rincewind knows that he is in a game and comments on things like game hints and animation budgets. It's really useful.

I finally got this game without getting fucked up the ass, I got it for £12 in mint condition,, I am gonna play it on my 34 inch HD plasma screen with a surround sound system,,,

i wish there was bucket loads of games like this, broken sword, Simon the sorcerer,,, they make you feel happy. The drawings just make the experience for me

SCUMM VM google it. Discworld was just made available, but it's not freeware, so you have to buy it. The rest you said are freeware.

Yeah, a game with stereo sound and low resolution graphics will really take advantage of that wicked system you were so desperate to brag about.

try getting SCUMM from their site (its a sort of DOS emulator) then either ripping the game off the disc or downloading it

Have you tried using the DOSBox emulator? Google it and give it a shot, it might fix your problem

the first one is more difficutly? if so i have to try it out.

i played discworld 2 in my child times.. but i was to dumb for that game.

now ive played the game again and it was easy like nothing. i just used the 2 tips in the game. i didnt found the dagger and the wooden arm of the puppet.

the rest of the game i got alone by myself. Oo

the game need to be harder, im really sad about that. but the game is good aswell.

and yea, i miss that good old click and point adventure games. D:

This game was sheer brilliance. I didn't like the first one very much because it was loaded with bugs and way too difficult, but this one seemed to be at just the right difficulty level for a light, humorous romp. And the graphics were gorgeous and Eric Idle really made the game as funny as it was.

Damn Lucasarts promised us Monkey Island 5... But they keep producing crappy Star Wars games.

I also want a Discword 3 with Rincewind. I never played Discworld Noir because he wasn't in it.

Listen to me: PLAY Discworld Noir. You won't regret, even if Rincewind doesn't appear, every character in that game is a whole world full of surprises and clever dialogues.

To be honest I never found it particularly hard, and I was only about 14 when I completed the game. Compared to some another graphic adventure and puzzle games, Discworld 2 doesn't feature that many items or funtional scenery objects. But it was still fun and good looking.

It's a difficult game, eventually it'll put you in a place where you simply have no clue what to do next unless your a hardcore adventure gamer.

While adventure games are still made, there simply not in the same league as the Discworld games or others like the Monkey Island series and i doubt very much if we'll see them again.

At the end of the day man, Time has moved on from click and point adventures, id much rather have metal gear solid 4, resident evil 5, final fantasy 13 comming out in future than another 2D Click and point adventure. Anyway Broken sword 1 and 2 were better than this and MI series,

Lucasarts used to make them too, but StarWars games is more important now.

They should make a Discworld 3 (not counting Noir), and hopefully Eric Idle will reprise his role as Rincewind.
