  • shit is fukin garbage

  • слух есть однозначно !

  • Everytime I miss NY I go to this video. Im stuck in middle of America where a DJ doesnt mix, he just plays a song and plays the next one with no blend or scratch. Damn I miss this. I know its a old vid but it has that good feel man.

  • @2stage90 Thanks, that's a very nice compliment there ;) It's indeed old and has loads of mistakes (too much scratching and not that accurate...) but yeah, there were some nice tracks back in '07 ;)

    Thanks again!

  • what kind of tables are those?

  • Numark CDX

  • @kidbeatz10 actually those are not turntables, but cdj players but controlled as it would be vinyl on top

  • really nice work man

  • k wapo keda!

  • good my nigga yeahh 5 stars''

  • hey man ive got the same decks but i cant get that sound when you scratch it.. what files do you use for your cds? coz it sound proper good

  • Only a few mixes needed work. They were a little of. Still pretty tight though. Keep it up

  • thats pretty good man nice choices too

  • tight mix and bad ass headphones

  • also, what did you use to mark your records?

  • nice mix.. good job.

  • I'm a new dj and have a quick question. I didn't see him even put his hand on the pitch control at all, so how did he beatmatch? Maybe I just missed it. Amazing mix though

  • Hey, I do adjust the pitch but I knew exactly how to set it at each song cuz i tried to mix these songs together 2 times before recording the video. So it was fresh in my mind.

    Good question ;)

    Thanks for the comment.

  • Hey, thanks for answering bro. I really appreciate it. Soon, i will be getting SSL to start my DJing.

I will keep you updated on my progress :)

  • i assume every track was already made the same BPM

  • nope it wasn't already made at the same BPM, as i stated before this was a mix i knew by heart cuz i did it a few times before recording it, so i knew exactly where to put the pitch control at every song in order for them to be at same speed...

  • muito bom

  • Shit was tight, I watch this mix all the time... inspiration!

  • nice nice nice but da link is offline ?!!!

  • Hey,

    Thanks, what do you mean?

  • does it make any difference if I just use a pair of normal earphones instead of those big ass expensive dj headphones to mix?

  • @ home it's not going to make a difference for you other than the sound quality... but when playing on better speakers or @ higher volumes you might wanna get big headphones (not necessarily expensive ones) since they well allow you to hear at least something...

If you use in-ear headphones, the sound from the speakers is just going to cover the sound of the headphones... so it won't be of any use...

  • youuuuu MIIIIIIIIIX man your GR8

  • hey Mr. Dj.... i like your selection a lot... the only advice im giving you is to not to scratch all the time..!! and your mixing im giving you a 7.5 / 10.....

    DJ Lps.... Maximum Respect man..

  • How much is this setup you have right here?

    Not including your headphones

  • that is not HipHop, fuck you

  • Right...

This is Hip Hop & RnB...

What do you call hip hop if this isn't?

  • this is RnB..not HipHop.

  • Ok, as i said, some songs are hip hop and some are RnB...

No need to say "fuck you" because i forgot to mention there also was RnB

  • right...

    you"re dj mC?

  • Yes, why ?

  • Shit son calm down, put ya cock back in ya pants!

  • "Shit son calm down, put ya cock back in ya pants!"

  • skillz!! good job ♥

  • download link in zshare is down =(

    reupload please

    =D

  • Where do you get your samples from? Like the reggae horn i heard in your commercial rnb mix.

Proper good mix just started mixing hip hop and I'm getting frustrated as it sounds too digital with cdj 400s.

  • That one was actually built in the software i were using in the video (Numark Virtual Vinyl), and honestly i don't have a clue of where you could get that sound...

  • Nice mixin... I see u are using the Numark CDX. I have a pair of those. Most of the people i know that have them are havin trouble with them. They tend to break down. : ( One of mine doesn't work anymore. I prefer my vinyl anyway, i just use the CDX if i don't have the record. Im gonna switch to Serato tho, cuz its long overdue for me. I see this video is two years old, and i was wondering if your Numarks are still holding up? like i said only one of mine is. Dj CAS. Lawrence, Kansas.

  • Mine broke down as well and had to get them repaired.

I think the main problem with those CD players is that at a certain moment they don't accept the CD's anymore, it just keeps on going in and out of the player.

I actually sold mine a few months ago and got myself Turntables again (as when i started off mixing) with serato, it was defenately the right choice for me, now it's up to you to see for yourself.

    Dj Mc - Brussels, Belgium

  • I was watching to someone elses video.. his mixes.. then i clicked you..I LIIIKE though! you got yourself a new friend!

  • Thanks for your friendship ;)

  • no problem =)

  • it will be tight if he came to ma bday

  • Thanks ;)

  • shiatttt....impressive

  • ok thanks man! just bought 1 yesterday lol itz awesome nd it is really simple 2 use but the scratching is only ok cuz it has small jog wheels but id say it waz worth u trying out

  • nice mix man, u rekon the idj2 is any good??

  • I've never tried it so i don't know if it's any good...

I'm used to bigger control surface like in this case CDX and now back to Vinyl... So i'm not sure of how i'd feel on an IDJ2

but i guess i should try it out..

  • nice mix bro diggin the sexy cuts and blends nice bro... when u have amin check out som of ma reggae mixes

  • academix

  • Merci.

Tu parles de quelle formation ?

  • hey do you swap your bass alot or not??? do you mix with the eqs or no?? im having trouble mixing hip hop any advice??

  • Hey there.

I don't really play with the EQ's, I just use them to mix properly, adjust them to make sure the sound is good.

When i drop in a new beat, i keep the bass a bit lower and while i blend the 2 songs together i just turn the bass of one song down while turning the other one up.

  • You're good man, I mean you ROCK. Nice work...

  • did u uploaded somewhere the mix ? cause is awfull get everytime on youtube and search the video ...

  • what do you mean ?

  • well i'm working on some new megamixes for the moment, haven't had the time these past few months and on top of that i had a crappy computer that kept on being funny when i was trying to record anything. Now that i've bought myself a new computer (Mac) i'll make some more megamixes, don't worry about that ;)

I play in clubs here in belgium, but i don't have any residency anywhere. It's just private parties (one-shots), even though i'm looking for a place to play @ every week...

    keep doin wat u do

  • IT'S KOOL YO ALL

  • I love those tables

  • Yo DJ Scoot what r u talking about. thats what dj'n is all about. Don't hate. Keep up the good work MC

  • eh its decent. You need something to extend a break or like someone wrote get some intros. Plus when you mix Hip Hop do the chorus is your easiest mix point and start your 'in" record with a small gain of bass and trade. Ive been studying the worlds best dance and learned first hand from some of the best West Coast hip hop DJs. Dude just explore the different styles of mixing and make you own. I might have to borrow your rewind with the volume drop. Good Mix but keep practicing

  • Hey Man good shit. Keep it up.

just a few suggestions on your blending:

once you start to blend it in dont stop. keep it going. try getting intros and outros. those would be perfect for your style. and when you mixing in the next track, watch your volume. it should be at or less than the current track, your scratching shouldnt over power the current track, esp when people are dancing.

anyways i hope you didnt get offended by any of that, just trying to help out.

    JayRoc

  • music selection is good but your mixing and scratching are both terrible! i hate dj's that play 1 verse or less of a song and start mixing in another. vocals over vocals is a HUGE no no in djing as well.

  • Please. Mix more than 3 tracks in 10 mins and you're going to have vocals over vocals. This guy can pull it off. Maybe you didn't hear the same mixes I did, but his transition to Ms. New Booty is one that will always stick in mind(Vocals over vocals). Everyone has their styles, I'm sure you wouldn't like DJ EZ either, but he's one of the best.

I must say though that his baby scratches are a bit lame... :P

  • Time man this is youtube not the club. chill out shit is nice.

  • sorry but what did you mean to say ? just didn't quite understand the meaning, sorry...

  • I'm glad you like this mix, but vocals on vocals is never acceptable. You find a way.

You may benefit from listening to my mix which Is more or less the same type of music even though I never really listen to it unnsless happens to play at someone elses radio. Anyway, no excuses. Anybody can kind of beat match and thow a song anywhere with no musical sense.

  • fuc*ing nice mix!

  • c'est tros du stile

  • THATS THE SHIT

  • i liiike

  • tight mix man. hows bout a little airtime for this mix i made. strictly 4 th amateurs comrad

  • you are kindof gettin the idea there dude

    1. song selection is W A C K ... it's cool if you just wanna appeal to blockheads, but...

    2. scratching needs some help ... work on it ... you may want to look up 1 click flares, marches, even chirps really

    3. really this should have been number one sorry, but get some turntables i.e. a pair of techs ... 1200's ... cdj'ers = teh suck ... really, after a transition you look like you doing something like dropping the needle but you are just fakin da fonk

  • this is what we call destructive cristissism ...just shut the fuck up dude...

  • i ♥ your playlist .. da beest remix .. 5 stars

  • his scratch sounds basic cos hes mixing. geez

  • i like the rap only from the beginning n rest is alrght

  • Hey there DJ MC, great mini-set there! You're one of the better scratchers I've seen lately. I'm an electronica DJ myself, but playing around with hip hop recently.

I notice you're using Numark TTs there? How are those serving you? Do you ever feel compelled to get Technics SL-1200s because eveyrone else is using them? I'm looking into new decks but I'm on a low budget so I'm wondering if something that isn't Technics will last long with a lot of hip hop scratching.

    ez!
