bellissima anche la versione di elton...come la prima versione interpretata dalla grandeRETTORE..è non capisco xchè alcuni suoi fans dicono che FAR WEST sia un album brutto solo perchè non ha venduto come gli altri..io lo trovo bellissimo...solo q uesta canzone gia' è un album grande stupende anche io ho te..far west...la cantante del..il ponte dei ..lola pink..rodeo...le uniche che non mi piacciono sono vera è can can..ma il resto stupendo..senza contare che il look è il migliore ..

@gianni5251 devo dire che su Far West mi trovi d'accordo... forse in alcuni brani l'uso dell'elettronica era un po' eccessivo ma le sole 'Far West', 'Io ho te', 'Il ponte dei sospiri' e 'Sweetheart on Parade' lo rendono assolutamente imperdibile.

Elton John wrote this song for the most important italian singer in earlier 80's : RETTORE . and she included it on her 1983 album "FAR WEST". But this wasn't the only song that Elton gave to Rettore. He first wrote her REMEMBER recorded on 1981 album "ESTASI CLAMOROSA" and in 1982 he signed using a pseudonimous her european hits THIS TIME, gold record in France and Italy.

This is another song Elton wrote for Kiki Dee, and her version went unreleased. Judy Collins also recorded a fantastic version of it.

I didn't know he had recorded this. Albert Hammond recorded it as "Hero on Parade" in about 1982 on his Somewhere in America album. Thanks for posting the original!
