In any case, the litters are still fairly large, and at least two will survive even in a barren environ, which Alaska is not.
The issue here is the population of wolves being somehow endangered by aerial hunting, a population control process, which dummies who lurve wolves think is a sport. It is not, the most recent taxonomy of wolves being well above 10,000.

So unless you want the entire ecosystem to be destroyed with the extinction of moose, caribou, AND the wolves, we have to hunt down the wolves. This is the fastest, most efficient way to do it. And the shotgun is the only way to do it aside from military-grade machine guns. Plus, because Alaska has serious sport-hunting laws, you can't shoot an animal and then land and shoot it again. There's a 3-day waiting period or long distance from the plane you can shoot if you land.

I'm sorry to hear that about dingoes. But for wolves, they're just barely off the endangered species list and rarely attack humans. What most think is an attack is a fake off to get you to leave their territory. Do you realize that at one point, livestock country WAS wolf territory? It's not the wolf's fault that their section of land is being taken.
That said, I don't see anything wrong with capturing wolves and moving them to a place reserved FOR them. That I can live with.
