I agree that the show did a horrible editing job. Notice how they put her name up to block it when she "drops it like it hot" and when she is poplocking they only show the top portion. If it was Jody Watley they would have showed it all because she was skinny. They used to do the same thing to full package Chaka Khan, they couldnt take the voice the, the face, and the body. So they pan cameras back flash to crowds and put logos over the artist. Nowadays if you arent naked you arent relevant.
Love this album, but its funny how alot of people dont realize that she was the singer on the color purple..where shug Avery sang that part Speak Lord & miss celie blues.
Tata was and still is a very great singer. Motown should have promoted her more in the 70s. She would have been a great R&B singer like Chaka, Donna, and Diana.

Great post, but that show edited the song horribly. The 45 version is not even edited like that. Love the video though.

Not only is Tata extremely talented, kind-hearted and spiritually-grounded, but she's perhaps THE MOST gorgeous woman I've ever seen.
Wow.

oh, now I know why "Get It Up For Love" wasn't the biggest hit ever. She's fat. too bad you gotta look like Diana Ross to get famous.

Fat but a hella alot cuter than Ms Ross...youre right about that though.
