@undergirl0714 Slipknot is metal, just its a different style of metal, which people named nu-metal. Which is the same thing as metal just some vocals are rap like. But Slipknot has changed over the years. There 1st two albums have that nu-metal sound but there last two have a heavy metal sound. downtuned guitars shouldn't matter in metal.

Metallica will always be better then slipknot but for the WRONG reasons. Metal was already big in the 80s so when Metallica became the top band by the 90s. So by now Metallica is already well know by not only old fans but young fans too. Slipknot came along when pop and hip-hop was big. They were only noticed by few young rock fans. Yes Slipknot did eventually build up a huge fan bass but Metallica's is also still growing. Its all about popularity and NOT talent. I say Slipknot is more talented.

I am a realy big fan of slipknot but being honest they dont stand a chance against METALLICA.

james has a unique way of singing and its pretty cool but correy has a lot of energy.

mick and jim cant stand a chance against james and kirk, and joey beats lars at drums but joey s kinda boring and lars is pretty funny when he makes those faces.

comparing Metallica to slipknot would be like askng what is better; Goat cheese or mexican blankets it's two diffrent bands all together. they are both great bands but depending on the audince.
