Use a heavy line and rod. Long steel leaders, with a big hook that can handle large game. Use some type of feeder fish or Mullet. Stab holes so it can bleed out and be ready! Oh set your drag so you don't loose your pole. Good Luck!
I got the 150lb PowerPro and can't wait to give it a shot. Its the diameter of a 30lb Mono. I learned the hard way about the hooks. Definitely an important investment!
@theden25 Man, i tell ya the sharks wer'e really ticking me off... they wer'e amusing at first but, after a while i realized they wer'e the reason i did'nt catch anything. Kewl video and i stayed at the kingfisher Inn hotel just 7 mile's from Murell's inlet at Garden city... great place to try and stay for a vacation because it's built on a pier. Only thing is it cost $10 to go down the pier... but, a heck of a time and i hate they won't let us catch the shark's i mean... the shark's catch us!!
What pier were you fishing off of. We went to peir 2. Then the state park with now luck.

Hey man, 80lb PowerPro line and a 130lb hey wire leader and you would be good to go. Pay up for some decent hooks too. All and all not bad.
