In the UK we're used to spending about £200 and getting an amazing phone or going on a contract and getting a phone for free, not paying £900 for one!

hint to Jobs: drop the price, allow removable battery, video recording, micro SD slot, sort out the touch screen keyboard, make it 3G, and maybe i'd consider getting one for FREE on a contract.

It has 8 GB of solid state memory, but when you're dealing with music and video, 8GB isn't all that much. With a memory expansion such as micro SD you can have double that easily.

I can see where you're coming from. I've got an iPod Touch and I would LOVE an iPhone. I don't want a phone that is locked to a network. O2 isn't a great network. It's not as good as Vodafone - in terms of coverage & network reliability. As far as no 3G - that doesn't really bother me. EDGE is fast enough for normal web-browsing. Pushing it abit for when you decide to use YouTube. Prices will come down. And when they do ... shall be buying one. Though, I want one without a contract.

You can't really get it unlocked. There's a company doing bulk unlocking but you need to send like 50 at a time. This isnt something some guy at your local market can do. Plus it will void the warrenty....
