There's absolutely no drama or tension in any of this movie, it lumbers along with no soul, no heart. It treats a major characters death as if nothing happened. What's wrong Japan? Wheres the love for the Yamato characters? As a yamato fan i was very disappointed by this production. Plays and Looks more like video game cut scene. Some of the 2D is really bad. Even the voice acting seems like there board. Common JAPAN do Yamato right!!!
@minideed I had a feeling it would never be as good without the original writers. They should've just remade the 1st series with this chi or something because this kinda ruins the great yet sad ending to Final Yamato, but then again thats like saying the whole thing ruins the real yamatos ending
Yuki is in command of the destroyer since she now holds the rank as captain.
She is referred to a Captain Kodia (Kodai Kencho) because she is married to Kodia (who is sill ranked as a captain in this movie). The crewman uses her married name as using first names is generally not done in the navy.
Saw this movie while in Japan, aside from great CGI and animation the storyline was a little weak.
@45580677 The full movie was release in dvd and blu-ray in july, but only the japanese version. I don´t know if has english subtitles or when will be relase in europe/usa.
I've always wondered. If it's in japanese, why is most of the words I see on this in english like "cargo bay" or "earth"?
