That looks pretty smooth...I loved the ride before but the bumps were almost painful. Sad it won't be open when BF and I go back in May. :(

I was there last week.  There's a hold on the new sleds, but the CMs don't know why--or at least they're not telling.

Is lap sitting going to be allowed? What about my kid who is tall enough to ride but not tall enough where I would feel safe with him in his own seat. Would they allow that then??

@tamisweetie just one side of the ride should be lap sitting while the otherside should be 6 seaters.

@TheDiscokid12345 its always looks slow when your looking at it from a distance. but there testing the NEW trains so i dont think they want to go full speed on then yet.

WHen are they going put the new bob sleds in it's been rumored for 2 years. Now they have the new ones why are they not putting them in right way and not getting rid of the old ones?

Wierd... This is from April 2010 and I just went June 2010... When I went, al the cars were the same old normal ones. The ride broke down twice that day. When are they going to permanently have the new ones?

I believe that they are getting rid of lap sitting. Also, the new bobsleds look kind of neat, especially when compared to the current bobsleds. I also like the new paint scheme much better than the one on the current bobsleds.

Is it just me or do I see two sets of seat belts and two sets of hand rail type things in each section? That's what it looks like to me and I sure hope I'm wrong because lap sitting is completely awkward unless your with someone special...

I think the ride is going to be really inense because it seems like the cars move smoother and quicker and they don't look as bulky and heavy as the old ones. I believe its going to feel like space mountain at Disneyland Ca, same speed and smoothness. I hope they change the lighting inside and fix up the abominable snowman because the strobe was broken on the 2nd one you encounter and the sound was broken the last time I was on it.

@AdrenalineAddict610 Well no not like Walt Disney World because its has the same bulky cars of the matterhorn just w/ single seats and the same track/ well not exact track.... im saying that the feel of these cars will be smooth like the track inside space mountain Disneyland... the one w/ the 2 seated row cars.... i would think... im not sure really because I never been on the one in Walt Disney World.

@rugdg13 hmm judging on the gas tank door, I thinks inside is a pressure valve that shows how much pressure is need to push the lap bars open or its some what like a lap bar check to make sure its locked in or not

@rugdg13 thats simply if another bobsled hits it; then that thing, which is full of air, simply cusions or less impacts the bobsled so no one gets too hurt.

Now that they have new cars they should replace the track, i couldn't believe how rusty it was when i went! After all its over 50 years old!!!!!

@ThatsGoodTelevision I thought they just repainted it grey when they completely refurbished it because in early photos the track was green. I think they should get rid of the abominable snowman too because it kinda makes the ride a little cheesy...

@QuentrixMovies The abominal snowman needs to do more than just stad there lifting his arms up and down and rawring at you, its not even scary seeing him while you zoom past him only getting a 2 secod glance lol. I mean I like seeing him but I wish he would do alittle more than stand there and waving at you. But the way hes postioned I think it would be hard to do.

@rcfan042 i thing they are going to have to change all or nothing. the loading gates are going to need SIX slots for the new sleds. and not four for the old one.

but new cars usually means and enhanced ride. ^_^
