No problem with her crying at all, but please stop saying she was kneecapped or hit on the kneecap. She wasn't. She was hit on the thigh, several inches above the knee.
Again I have no problem with her crying, no doubt it hurt a lot and was extremely disressing for her, but she was not kneecapped - she'd never have walked again, let alone skated her way to a silver medal.
