  • @BohmTech Most rotors weigh about 80,000 lbs for a 1.5 meg turbine. The larger ones are now pushing 160,000 or more. 1 inch rotation resistant hoist line is usually good for a breaking strength of over 150,000 lbs for one cable. look at his hook, he has roughly 8 parts of line reeved, that would give the total breaking strength of that at over 1.2 million pounds. Much more than the manitowoc 2250 can handle. His boom will colapse long before the cable will give.
