Okay so I just bought the maptrack bundle off of the guitarplayback site and I must say I am floored. This taught me more in 20 minutes of playing around with the videos then I have learned in the past year. I love how the videos start with something I already know and add a little more of what I don't know as the backing track goes. I unlocked the whole fretboard in no time for each mode. Amazing, thank you so much!
Looking at the notes in the pack it says to play ionian over the G and D/G chords. The map track doesn't change until it gets the part where it goes between the F and G chords only. F is not in G ionian so why doesn't the track change sooner to mixo where there is an F? What am I missing? G ionian has an F# which would clash against the F chord. I know your using G may pentatonic is that the trick?
@trooperformaiden Great observation! I decided not to include that particular change in the Maptrack because it would be too fast and uncomfortable for the user. Instead I used a hybrid safe scale bade of the Major pentatonic and additional 4th (found in both Ionian and Mixolydian)...
This is great! I've tried to play "like this" in a long time, but it will probably be much easier with a visual representation of the key notes. My brain is to slow to calculate the right notes when the backing tracks are faster than 20 bpm.

One question that has got nothing to do with this vid. What type of stand do you use for your AXE FX 2 ? What case did you put it in ?
Great product !
4unot2secure 3 months ago
@4unot2secure I put the Axe on a regular Guitar stand I placed it in a Road Runner Rack that I got at Guitar Center. Thanks a lot for watching!

@socco445 Thanks! Yeah, during checkout you will have an option to click if you don't have Paypal. That will allow you to use a Visa or Mastercard.

This looks a most intriguing way to learn to see the interrelationship of scales on the fretboard. I shall have to investigate further.
