This movies says 1992, but really it looks & sounds (especially the soundtrack) like it was made in 1982. It also looks like a rip-off of Mortal Kombat games. That being said, I think I will go try and find/download it. Even if I don't like it, it would be a nice addition to my Martial Arts movie collection.
@1o2o3e Were Bruce Lee around today I think he'd be very interested in MMA and the Gracie family's ground work techniques, he'd likely embrace and study them himself and incorporate them in his Jeet Kune Do. I don't think Lee would be impressed by your defending his martial arts like this - he was all about learning and fusion. As a scholar and expert practitioner in martial arts he'd not be so dumb as to fail to see the limited effectiveness of standing trading blows prooved through MMA fights.
@MangoZapp Great point man, he would have wanted martial art to grow. He saw the potential of incorporating western boxing and Japanese Jui JItsu to his fast, interceptive striking style. He was practically the first Mixed Martial Artist.
you people give Bruce Lee way to much credit... he may have been fast... but do you really believe that a guy weighing 100 pounds could knock out a big MMA fighter? You guys are just TOO easy to impress... it´s like those people who gets impressed at a taekwondo show when they break those wooden boards... UHH AHH.. YEAH! Thats HARD!
@marginatus you know it not how big you are that make you tough it how skilled you are. mma fighter are shit, in a real fight do you really think you have time to maul a guy down and try to submit him, even if it a mma striker they run out of gas fast they have no endurance. bruce would taken down those mma fighter no doubt. only fools thinks mma is real, all i got to say is step out of the cage and fight with no rule then we will see how effective your mma truly is. that the real test...
@marginatus um dude... you obviously don't understand the core principles of Jeet Kun Do. It IS MMA. It's what MMA came from. Bruce's iteration of JKD didn't stress takedowns or grappling; however, watch the uncut Game of Death or the first fight in Enter the Dragon. And, yes Bruce could've knocked out a "big MMA fighter." He might have jabbed him in the eye or stomped his instep to disorient him first. JKD was always based on fighting to avoid imminent death meaning "by any means necessary."
bruce lee could readily kill most men in an instant,he was deadly, his body was a fighting machine, big men hear this, your size is a disadvantage ,you too slow, too big to impovise and lack leverage,5,7 is the perfect size and dont forget it
so wierd. for almost all the movies that did bolo and since he is such a villian can't believe he say i love you to this girl. now i see that he is not so bad as some people think he is in the movies. funny tho ja
Bruce would win Definately, Bolo is good at cose range and power and blocking but lee is good at dogding dealign quick lethal blows and agility , bolo can take a good beating, i dont know bruce is bedeum in tht, but Overall Bruce is mroe Trained..

dude shut the fuck up. Go read chan wai man's interview who was present on the set of ETD.With all due respect to Bolo Bruce Lee repeatedly defeated him in arm wrestling. If he took him down in arm wrestling he wouldve definitely taken him down if it came to real combat because of the fact of Lee being a far superior martial artist than Bolo. All you fan boys shut the fuck up and grow some fucking pubes.
so you mean that by taking an oponent down with arm wrestling you could be able to win on a match one on one???? LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL........ My god you're just so fucking stupid and dumb. take off your head from yer arse ya facking wanker!!!!
VIN: you have obviously been watching much too much TV....it's called mixed martial arts for a reason,,,,it means there are several sorts of martial arts,,and I guess what you don't get douche is that he was a martial artist even before he was an actor.......every single MMA fan always thinks MMA is the best,,,,,hey bitch..now go tap out..
I agree with you I saw a video of bruce lee fighting in the 1960's. he moved so fast I could barely see what he is doing, and that was back then, he annihilated 10th degree black belt grandmasters in a matter of minutes, compared to today's MMA fighters, they move at the speed of a slug compared to Bruce Lee, plus Bruce Lee knows Dim Mak, he knows how to attack pressure points, and do moves that are not allowed in MMA. Too many rules in MMA, they dont have the killer instinct of bruce lee.
@kabfik bruce lee never killed he got the fighting spirit :P, and what is more you cant do it proffesionally if you dont have fighting spirit it is imossible and dont compaire heavy weigh to bruce and what is more important when you go against somebody who is skilled speed doesnt matters at all :) and he could know dim mak but he doesnt know jiu jitsu ground game and I saw how gracie defeated many martial artists but if bruce have been training for a half year grappling he would be maybe best
@ReikoX7 Dude, Bruce lee had LOTS of ground game. Watch Enter the Dragon's first fight scene with Sammo Hung. He ends it with a modified arm bar. Ground work was simply not Bruce's ideal choice for ending a fight. He grew up in HK. Fights in his time were RARELY 1on1. In which case, a ground game attack would leave you very vulnerable. Thus, Bruce was much more comfortable striking. JKD stresses to grow your strengths and train to reduce or prepare your weaknesses.
@rstheoneandonly are you stupid :D if he the prime gracie vs bruce lee in MMA it would end up really bad for bruce and I know that jiujitsu is from ju jutsu old jappanese martial art which was used by samurais for centuries and plls dont defy bruce wasnt a superhuman people have this phenomenon always that there must be some superhuman but there is only god and humans in the world as fedor was taken as unbeatable, the time came and fedor was defeated and so bruce would be the same
@ReikoX7 You seem to be missing the point. My comment was on the nature of Lee's preference of striking, but also having GG (see any JKD curriculum). Remember, Liddel also preferred striking. Would you say Liddel had NO CHANCE against Hoyce? You are correct that it would be against Bruce to fight in UFC and that he COULD loose. UFC fighters rely on the RULES to ensure a fair fight ie: NO head kicks when 1 knee is down. Lee trained for fights with no protective rules. Bar fight = Lee's advantage.
@rstheoneandonly I said in MMA in no rules you go for throat and eyes grappling is really useless and it was royce, and I doubt that his GG could be good he was just all the stand up ... and I didnt see him compete much as chuch norris in that time he had over 180 pro matches, and I cant say that anyone which one would win before the fight, I like bruce but everyone is talking about him like he was a superhuman ... and he wasnt nobody can be
@ReikoX7 I don't contest that he could not be beaten. In fact, he's dead so he already lost to Royce or anyone else for that matter. The point that I'm making is that MMA in UFC is constrained by rules where a Striker like Lee would be hampered. In a barfight, Lee would have a considerable advantage over anyone as his JKD is suited for no rules. Any JKD curriculum is heavy on BJJ training. JKD is pure unadulterated MMA. How an instructor teaches it is limited only by his own skill set. JKD = MMA
@rstheoneandonly Again, check the opening fight of Enter the Dragon for an example of GG by Bruce. A better example would be the uncut version of Game of Death when he faces the Judo opponent. Bruce was fascinated by grappling and joint manipulation. Read some of the JKD books and you'll see that. But, for him he simply didn't want to let a fight progress that far where a take down was needed (ie: against an opponent that could be subdued with striking). This has been a fun exchange by the way.
@lifeizgood68 uh no. That's incorrect. As for UFC, it's now elbow spikes to an opponent ever, no kicking an opponent when they have one knee on the mat, no heel strikes to the kidneys while using the guard position, no small joint manipulation, no toe stomping, no direct tracheal compression, no open hand blows to the ears, and no headbutts. The last one is the worst as that was Hoyce's favorite move. It's probably why he lost when he came back to UFC.
how can you say that when he done what no other man did before? On his own invented a martial arts technique JKD that is recognised and practiced world wide? If he was just a movie star he wouldent of bothered, also bruce lee was a martial artist first, he never wanted to be a movie star, it just happend.
Bolo, though impressively strong and is quick, he cannot reach the same kind of agility Bruce did, and for that reason Bruce would win, HOWEVER, if Bolo somehow could corner Bruce, and able to block enough of those attacks to get close, he could beat Bruce easily.
I will avenge his death!!!!!
