I hope all you unemployed, and soon to be unemployed inbred right wingers remember not one republican voted to extend unemployment comp!
AND, the very first thing they will do if they get the majority is to cut taxes for the wealthy elite. This is where thier hearts are at. How's that trickle down economics working for you? SUCKERS!!!
You may want to ask Osama bin Laden that question. I'm sure he has a very clear definition as he roams free with the money he made with "brother bush" while the latter sent our brothers and sisters, to die, on the faux mission of "hunting him down".
yeah what is the problem with the post office . they can send a letter around the world for less than a dollar. If that is not then what is. How do these people make this stuff up and not and think that people are stupid enough to believe it.
I'm sure deliberately so. He's just buying time to drive up profits for the next quarter for his share holdings. I'm for the government taking control of criminals like this and putting him away permanently. THEN we can start fixing the healthcare issue....these guys are just there to obstruct and get paid (with healthcare "benefits") way too much to do it!!
haha sure! drive us deeper into a hole, then lets see what we can do when the government, who takes weeks to decide tiny court cases, and years to put laws into motion, can do about it then... great idea! im sure theyll have it ready sometime around the year 2100 ....
if you're talking about that little 1 minute overview he just gave of what the proposal is supposed to do, then of course the rep. prop. sounds vague....it was summarized in the time it takes you to go to the john. cmon dude.
what is the problem with the post office? If the post office is so bad, why don't the republicans do something about THAT? I personally think that its pretty amazing how efficient the post office actually is. Who cares if the post office is a bad "business"? That's one of the things we pay taxes for, right? I doubt the fire department is a very good "business" either.
haha. so you want to pay evem MORE taxes for people who cant take care of their own lives?
and the fire department? please. its a necessary agency... do you want to get it of the FD ? when your house burns down, and you dont know what the F*** to do, i will be laughing because i can say "i told you so"
Insure most americans? Typical republicans, always looking out for the insurance companies to financially rape people out of their life savings and deny care.
The Republican philosophy of lesser Government has demonstrably failed in an extreme way (think economy). Yet the republicans still talk about getting out of the way of the finacial sector.
The Government is going to have a greater regulatory foot-print in the financial services industry because of the industries systemic misbehavior that was so excessive it ruined our economy. John seems to have conveniently forgotten this. The Government was forced to protect the economy.
It came from real estate, the democrats told lenders that the banks were going to back them up and to approve nearly everyone. Boom they can't make payments and this happened. There is no possible argument you can have that would justfiy the spending, he is makeing half the amount of money that Bush made and spending is higher all previous presidents combined.
@issanel the fbi's report said that housing was 10% of the economic crash. how can people with less than 15% of the wealth cause a collapse of the markets. wallstreet caused the crash period.
Post office was a poor choice. But look at social security, medicare, military health care, Nasa, welfare all of these programs are going under. (Except Nasa, which has a problem with not building efficient space shuttles)
Ok I just heard it. James Boehern just said that the way to give everyone acess to health care, is to give them a tax break. This is the sort of nonsense republicans have been spewing for decades. The personal savings wouldn't be enough to purchase insurance.
When the credit card companies charge 30% its time for the Government to step in to set rates. The companies amply proved their predatory nature and need to be permantely controlled.
Free market principles only work when there is a free market. Credit companies have come close to fraud by not fully disclosing thier fee systems to consumers.
Why is the government involved with private transactions AT ALL? Where is the constitutional mandate for this? The only areas that the government should be involved with are policing fraud, racketeering and conspiracies against consumers.
Why aren't you people talking about going after the real root problem of this mess? Tort reform, out of control scumbag ambulance chasers. You know, the same kind of thieving scumbags that run for office. Lawyers.

The Post office is actually a very badly run business. It has lost money since I can remember, and now FedEx carries most of our express mail.

When the credit cards charge 30%, the Government is forced to decide what rates are. Used to be anyting over 21% was illegal.
Can't complain about the Government setting rates unless you complain about the abuses of the companies.
