For anybody who cares, Safer Sephiroth´s health and stats increase if certain conditions are met by the player. If all the conditions are met, he can have extremly high stats and 400k HP. I don´t know all of them, but some of them include: every lv.99 character you have, Summoning Knights of the Round in the previous two battles, how many times you have destroyed Bizarro Sephiroth´s head and lot of other conditions. Again, if you meet all of them, he can be very challenging.

this match is different depending on character level -.- i wasnt maxed out so all i did was use quadra slash once and then reflected his shadow flare at him and he died - its a let down that the actual sephiroth wasnt a boss

I killed him at level 60... Does he level up with you? Lol, I didn't have any omega weapons, lvl4 limit breaks... Just Ultima, Mastererd Deathblow, and alot of support spells :P

What bugs me is how Sephiroth was turned into such an epicly hard boss in the Kingdom Hearts series, yet Safer Sephiroth is one of the most basic Final Fantasy final bosses in history, masked by being really badass and flashy. When I fight a final boss, I expect to get at least one freaking game over.

LOL sephiroth was ridiculously easy. my strongest char was cid with 6,5k health, cloud with something about 5k and tifa with 4k health. i didnt even have bahamut zero. i casted 2 times bahamut, and 1 time neo bahamut. than all the time clouds limits when he was ready, comet2 and ultima. tifa had my regen. spells so i casted wall, regen., on sephiroth i casted slow what surprisingly worked. his stupid supernova takes forever almost killed me twice but with mega elexir it was no problem

Cloud, Tifa, and Barret were my three against Sephiroth. It's was Barret's catastrophe limit break that helped me big time.

There is easy ways to beat this guy wihtout nights of the round or without omnislash jus have alot of remedys to counter the pale horse and 3 megaelixers for the super nova attacks then u'll be fine even with around 5000 hp at only level 50

The easiest way to win is using a Knights of The round and then Mimic with the second player.

I fought him at level 82. I haven't played the game in years, but I heard Sephiroth becomes more and more ferocious, and his attacks do much higher damage if you're on lv.99

I can tell you on level 82, as long as you don't do moronic things like attack your own group, he is not a challenge.

At level 99 Sephiroth is almost impossibly strong. It is one of those challenges that many gamers set themselves. As long as your not using KOTR you probably going to struggle.

If you look around you will probably see a level 99 battle against him.

-One or more character at level 99 (The more, the stronger)

-Average level is 99 (Yuffie and Vincent don't count in this)

-Used KOTR against Jenova or Bizarro Sephiroth

@ZorotheGallade I believe its only clouds level that effects him, in theory cloud can be less than level 10 at this battle and sephiroth is easily beat. However it meens having cloud dead from every party battle so he doesn't gain exp, and having him flee every other battle he can when he is on his own.

@NMbarrassment Yes, I fought him at level 99, and he has a lot more health, and does Super Nova. It takes two casts of Knight of the Round to take him out on the PS1, but I usually dispell any protection he might have first.

anyone else find the game is wuite up until this battle , i was able to defeat most bosses with ease including the jenova before sephiroth , but as soon as i got to sephiroth i got wiped out pretty much instantly , its wierd that you would have to level up so much more when jenova was quite easy

What I was saying in my prior post is that playing the game without doing the sidequests to obtain the stronger weapons and materia Sephiroth is still a pushover. But if you insist on talking about the powered up Sephiroth. My fully powered up party takes down the 'powered up' Sephiroth in four turns. It consists of: Debarrier followed by 9,999 damage per hit Omni-slash and W-Summon KotR.

me i have on my team cloud, cid, and vincent. cloud has the thing that he's immune to everything, vincent has reflec which is very good, and cid only have luck +10. i'm still trying to beat sephiroth.

Did I miss something? Why is this a must see? It wasn't a fast finish, or a low level fight. Personally, this boss is a wimp, he can be easily beat with lv 29 characters, no cheats or glitces.

Yeah, and you need to learn grammer. Anyway, he doesn't level up unless you have level 99 characters or depending on how you defeat Jenova and the green fish-looking Sephiroth thing. Killing off Tifa and Cloud at the start to keep them at level 7 is almost glitch like, as one can equip good armor/accessories and use strong attack items to deal damage. Most don't realize that Sephiroth uses gravity type attacks.

I'm playing through again nearly here. I already have my battle plan picked out.

I'm going to go more combat than defensive. I'm going to equip clloud with slash 4 so he does 4 attacks. then cast beserk on hime each turn he will do 40000 damage without me touching him.

I'm also going to have the pheonix infinate lives combo on so that when they die they will regenerate with full heale use some megalixers i should do it in about 5 minute. My characters all under level 70.

man i wish you could get super nova as an enemy skill..... oh well. MY stratigy for this battle:

Characters: Cloud, Yuffie, Red XIII

Equipment: All best equipment.

Start off with big guard enemy skill and regen all.

equip every1 with deathblow, and give cloud double slash materia.

With deathblow, Yuffie does 9999 dmg every time.

Dont have Red yuse any magic, and his deathblow will do 9999 damage as well.

Use summons and cure3 al when needed.

Knights of the Round not needed. easy if you know how.

+60,000 HP . Safer Sephiroth has anywhere between 80,000 and 400,000 HP.

no, he's got 120.000 HP, ;)), the trick is to have ribbons to all the party, and to use the materia in a good way, i have beat it 5 minutes ago, and i'm really happy (cloud was level 62 :) )

travel to the top of the map (ish) and ull find a small a small island. land your plane (you need a golden chocobo to travel on it, its a pain in the ass) and enter. you can then use the summon, which is the most powerful in the game. with out the gold chocobo, you cannot get it.

No. The Party I had was Cloud, Yuffie and Cid, I gave them HP and MP materia and mastered Duble cross materia on all three and I had the Ultimite weapon for Yuffie.

Also equip the Long Range materia so you can attack him even if he is flying. Don't forget to equip your Final Attack materia and link it to Phoenix the Summon.

He's really not that hard, as long as you have Cure3 and some Remedys after Meteor hits. I beat him on my first try, no KOTR, no sweat. Fun though.
