@TheBoxBreaker Yea, he was quick as a cat. It was created in response to his feet, which were super quick. He also had a very good glove hand but his feet were the reason he was called the cat (to the best of my knowledge). He played deep in the net so if he didn't have incredible reflexes, he wouldn't have lasted so long. I wish he were still playing!!!

Felix inspired me to play goalie, when he played for Vancouver in 2000 I went and saw a game against the Ducks, man was his glove side quick. But, the new NHL messed him up after that.

Potvin never officially retired from the NHL. Haha, so it says years active...80s to present. I love the guy. When he was asked to return he was denied since his equipment was supposedly not up to NHL standard. He's got a great sense of humor. I wish someone had the clip of when he got interviewed after the Hextall fight. I'm pretty sure it was Potvin. They ask him: "So Felix, what did you think when Hextall was coming at cha?" "Well, I knew he wasn't coming to tell me the weather"

One of the Best Goalies ever! Its a shame he ended up on crap teams since being traded from the Leafs which was a good team at the time where he shined the most! He did Amazing with the LA Kings and am quite surprised they didn't keep him! Boston ended his career unfortunately! I wish he still played and in my opinion could have broke so many records if he was on the right teams! He'll always be my Idol coming from a former goalie!!

Not bad, except I remember him as he was in the early to mid 90's, not as he would be at 41. He was an icon at the time, far different from anything most of us have seen before at the time. That'll be how I'll always remember him.

What's great about video is that we can watch it today and in our minds he's still in his early 20's with cat fast reflexes.

The Cat was my favourite NHL player when I was a kid. I felt so bad when the Leafs got Cujo, when Pat Quinn came in as GM/Coach. Cujo was great in Toronto though.
