  • Why does the white lady have to sport a Florida Evans '74 natural?

  • But assuming that the white mom might interested in the African background is because they're like "aliens" to her is crap. Being interested in a different culture isn't a personal attack. >_> IT is something alien. NOT the people of that culture :/

  • ... The daughter is awesome. Renee seems alright.

But the white mom. Omg. She really does seem sincere in her apologies and her opinions of the African clothing, but DAMN! She's an idiot.... -__-

  • whats happening here is the white people are white, but not of a particular group within the race & the blacks are not Africans... black American 'Yes' soooooo Yea there is not the truest to each others cultures. Blacks don't know what it is to be African they themselves would be Alien to an African as the White's would be to there particular original group if they met of course assuming they are not already in touch with there roots. Enough ignorance to go around on both parts for sure.

  • Soooo.. The black folks think the dashikis are stupid? What the fuck? It's okay for the white folks to walk around in black-face, but wearing traditional garb is suddenly terrible to them? If you ask me, I think they're ashamed to be black. It was almost as if the dashiki was some type of reminder of where they came from or something.. They seem so disconnected from who they.

  • hahaha omg the white girl said "i funna"

  • African American culture is a cancer to this world...

  • That black husband is really just an idiot.. Seriously..

  • i think this show doesnt prove anything cause color over all doesnt represent an identity of self for all those that are put in that same category for example im black yet i listen to screamo play guitar and skateboard but it doesn't change my skin complexion to white nor am i "selling out" im just doing things i see myself doing. so a black family showing a white family how it is to be black and a white family showing a black family how it is to be white barely does anything for anyone

  • I think they picked the worst 2 family's to represent each race.

  • Man, Brian needs to drop the "Me Against the World" shit.

  • rap and poetry had a baby called spoken word...I wish someone would've aborted that baby...

  • ALTHOUGH RASCISM IS REAL I FEEL THAT THE BLACK FAMILY IS NITPICKY....HOW WOULD SOMEONE FEEL SEEING A WHITE PERSON WITH A DISHIKI ON ON A NORMAL DAY?(EXACTLY)....SO WHY WOULDN'T THEY WANT TO TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO WEAR SOMETHING AS BEAUTIFUL AS A DISHIKI WHEN THEY ARE DISGUISED AS A BLACK PERSON...LET THEM ENJOY WHAT THEY HAVE PROBABLY ALWAYS WANTED TO....JUST AS THE BLACK MAN ENJOYED GREAT SERVICE IN THE SHOE STORE(ALTHOUGH SERVICE SHOULD ALWAYS BE GREAT FOR HIM)...GOD BLESS SISTERS AND BRO,

  • @tinabranch123 But really though they are trying to wear straight up African shit just to go to church. Like I would put makeup on to look like a Native American so I gotta wear mocasins and feathers and walk around with a bow and arrows.

  • great.

  • "Mom thought it would be good right?" "If that's what you wanted to wear, I said I wouldn't wear it but if you wanted to wear it..". "Oh I thought you..-" YOU THOUGHT WHAT?

    At 1:01 "I wouldn't like it".

  • Why does it seem like EVERY episode on YOUTUBE of this show .. there's a comment about a race looking better disguised as another race? Some of you guys can't even watch the show and look beyond the bullshit to consider the message.

  • The white women is being open minded to African culture not just African American culture but really trying to get to the root of African pride and here the black women is attacking her open mindedness? That's sad how close minded the black family seems, they want racism to prove something that is dissolving is still there.

  • Lol the disheky (butchered the spelling) part kills me lol

  • I'm looking at this is for a class assignment...and as dumb as the white mom looks I dont think she means anything when she does the thing she does. Like when she said "beautifuk black creatures". I would of laughed right there had any of a different race said that infront of me. When she said creatures I dont think she meant CREATURES like were some damn you know....Creatures lol. Hell its no different from saying Beutiful asian creatures.

  • damn 2007 sucked im glad i was a kid then but the white mother is so fucking stupid

  • i dunno why people think that the white girl is attractive once she puts on all that stuff. it looks like a cross between fake-tan and black-face...

  • the Dashikis were funny

  • i agree with the fact that those outfits they bought were beautiful. But the black family was right in the sense that they were goin a bit far. I have been to many different churches and in none did I see a majority of the church wear dashikis. always suit and dresses. there would only be one or two people dressed that way. Not ashamed of our heritage, cuz theyre pretty, but its not the norm or mainstream which everyone tries to stick to

  • I am white and think Dashikis look pretty nice. Just neat clothes. Now I feel like I am being racist because I think they look nice. D:

  • @FidelioRoo nah but a dashiki isnt some everyday shit hahaha

  • The white girl is very pretty as a white girl, and she looks pretty as a black girl. She is a buetiful, buetiful, girl.

  • I'm sry, I hate that bitch in that poetry class that hates on EVERYONE!

  • renee is too fucking passive aggressive. "I think it's nice" and then "idk why a white woman blah blah blah"

she's a huge chunk of the reason carmen never learned anything.

That and the fact that carmen's an idiot.

  • They call themselves african- americans but want NOTHING to do with african culture the irony!

  • @dlfunky because Africa has several tribes and countries...African Americans have very little if any connection because of Slavery stealing it away. Africans from Africa and those who are connected closer to African countries wear Dashikis.

  • I think the fact that the white couple wanted to embrace african culture through dress and the blacks didn't speaks volumes! They are ashamed of their heritiage they are trying to do EVERYTHING to get away from it the whites apreciated rich african culture the beautiful garments and the blacks were uncomfortable with it turning it around to make the wc seem racist -in this instance that was NOT the case maybe the whites understood real BLACK culture as oppsoed to REACTIONARY black culture.

  • this show is stupid melodramatic bullshit it is garbage television in every sense of the word.

  • I don't like this black family they be bitchin too damn much.

  • WOOOOOOW African Americans are so brainwashed/intergrated into euro-american culture that the white lady appreciated Renee's backround more then Rene did. WTF??

im sorry but the white lady seemed pretty sincere saying that she felt beautiful amd regal...

  • @telly0604 no she's ignorant...that's some plain out white shit, she wants to "observe the safari"

  • @bkbelly89 Agreed! 100%

  • @telly0604 She wasn't ashamed that's where your wrong because Black Americans don't where the stuff that stuff to church, the stuff the White women was picking out. People that where the stuff she was picking come straight from Africa like Nigerians and stuff I know because I saw it all time on Sunday. Black Americans do not where that, now the Black women could have said something but she didn't.

  • @buckeye257 If the cat went into the oven. when u ope the oven door, u see she had babies. do you call them muffins or kittens? My point is, it's sad that she appreciates things from the black woman's culture more then the black woman. i know she's not Nigerian, but she is still African, yet she prefers to wear her european clothings cuz she's not proud of her own ppls work.

Just a sad fact i was trying to point out...

  • @telly0604 No it's not a fact what your saying and have no clue about what your talking about. So American Blacks who don't wear African clothing to church are ashamed of who they are please, I say again you don't what your talking about where are you from and what do you wear when you go to church?

  • @buckeye257 i don't go to church. i'm not lost like the rest of you house negroes worshiping a white god. your obviously to stupid to see the mental slavery AAs go through. I'm not a teacher so open a book before you open ur mouth and let ignorance come out. im not responding to these backwards ass comments anymore.

  • @telly0604 I based my statement on what I seen when I did go to church and that's the problem with people like you who make a statements based off something they haven't even experienced. And you cat and kitten example was dumb explain it again to me like I'm a third grader........LMAO.

  • @telly0604 yeah so why did you waste your time responding LAMO, And secondly I don't go to church either but I know what I've seen when I did go so there for I know what I'm talking about. You made the backwards ass comment and never went to church at all and your going to judge someone based on what they wear and don't and if there ashamed about where they come from please. Again like I said you don't know WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT!

  • @telly0604 u must be white

  • She's wants to wear something African? Are you kidding me? And the black mom ain't saying anything.

  • She's wants to wear something African? Are you kidding me? And the black mom ain't saying anything.

  • Those white people are so ignorant. Yes we're Black, but we are Americans, not Africans. We are Americans of African discent, which means we have been so disconnected from Africa we have no relation to that continent mainly because of slavery.

  • The black boy acts, look, and talks like evan ross.

Thumbs up if you agree :)

  • the black people on here are So stupid. How is no one getting this but myself?? The black guy Constantly wants Bruno to SEE racism from whites.. So Where is it? Then the black woman flips over being called bitch in a Joking matter. Get real people.

  • jus because the white girl wasn't as animated jumping up and down like an idiot screaming and dramatic like everyone else was doing their poetry... and she did her poetry some what subtle... they gave her a bad response...

  • the white lady is so gotdamn ignorant that it's not even funny

  • Hit me up if u ever read this... I mean the son! u r so handsome

  • actully It looks nice on him

  • Comment removed

  • something tells me the white lady wanted to by the dashiki was trying to embrace the culture but... you wear that because you are making a statement about your culture or if you ACTUALLY are from Africa. She sorta seems to be missing the point of this show.

  • Says the fact that church is very popular in the black community and when I grew up there was like 1 gay dude in the hood or at school. That's why black gays be on the dl cuz it's taboo to black ppl.we have masculinity issues anyway cuz we feel less manly cuz of slavery so we try to be extra manly.gays ain't cool in the hood

  • Yo that gay dude wuuz funny as hell y'all crazy 4 that, but the white woman know damn well we don't wear that shit if I went to work for her she would think I was from Africa she's not that damn out of touch

  • That dude is super fruity.I don't believe in homophobia,I just think blacks know rt from wrong and being gay ain't cool in the black community

  • lol at the black gay kid pretending not to be gay coz of the homophobe community

  • HAHHAHAHAHAH THE BLACK WOMAN MAKES ME FUCKING LAUGH.

every thing she does "is she trying to make a statment"

NO!!!!! ITS THE PROGRAM she is pretending to be black and embracing it trying on clothes etc.

she seriously makes me laugh how much of a inferior complex she has.

  • Why does the black woman hate the white family so much? She just sabotaged them for no reason.

  • being black makes it possible to be more outragous?? omfg that white bitch is fuckin dumb :S im white as fukso dont go yappin about me bein racist

  • I think the person who is getting the most out of this so far is the white mother., she has shed so many inhibitions., I personally think if you'd asked her before this project about african outfits she could have called them outrageous and such as she sorta did at first but after she'd made her purchase the walls came down and she said openly how gorgeous the outfits were and how she felt in them.., I personally feel she feels very beautiful as a black woman and why not., she is!!

  • She is beginning to feel and understand black pride and culture and Im afraid to say by the end of this show she will probably have got it more than the black woman has ^^

Personally I think the black woman is jealous and threatened by her.., as a white woman she is ok'ish., as a black woman she lights up

I also feel the white womans show of uncontrollable emotions was a result of hormones because she does feel beautiful now and her husband has a new appreciation for her

  • indians selling african clothes....

    blacks uncomfortable with african clothes...

    damn shame

  • @Godsblack but black americans have as much to do with africa as much as the indians do so whats the arguement? (don't worry i come in peace:) just curious)

  • oh wow.. typical white lady

  • i'm white, and these white people on this show, besides the chic- are out of control. i mean...i'm disgusted. i'm sitting here watching this with my hand over my eyes because i can't even watch...

  • the white Mom is so Dumb as hell.

    It's so funny

  • I know im white and i can tell she is just so fucking ignorant

  • @GILakaGP3 white people who dont watch too much tv or interact with blacks at all are actually like that...its fuckin scary hahaha

  • so true what the white lady said i met this black girl studying abroad and i had a trip with her and i couldn't say anything cus everything bother her

  • Comment removed

  • was girl at 04:51 about to say her poem?

  • LOL, they're not dashikis. Why is it that Americans think all African clothes are called dashikis?!

  • لول صاحب المحل عربي

  • lmao i just realised, what if they got pulled over, or they needed to show their drivers liscense when they paid for something haha

  • good call, I hadn't thought of that, they should do that at the end of the series that would be so funny.

  • well its all set up anyways, these people are wearing caked on makeup, other people can tell at close distances.

  • Your right, but for this particular girl, she looks finer black. Just my humble opinion. Maybe she reminds me of one of my ex's with the black skin. She was fine. oh well, thats the way the ball bounces

  • Then I should be allowed to say nick looks better white. :0

  • The white girl looks better as a black girl. Amazing how melonin or even the illusion of it makes a person that much more beautiful

  • van do u think its just the color of skin? imho the mix of the genes can produce some pretty ugly combi-nations no matter the color.. but then u have her as black - wow.. transcends color to something so appealing its crazy..

the most appealing to me r those u may call mutts who have a lil bit of all in em, but there r some gorgeous creamy white ladies around!

  • @fortruth3 why do u feel the need to comment on everyone's post. And yes, the white girl look worlds better as black.

  • oops.. i almost missd this one!

i posted these so i could understand ppl

bettr.. thnx for sharing ur comments

  • @fortruth3 these comments in regard to that white girl looking better as a black female is living proof that a lot people want black women that look "White" it's not Melanin these are comments by children raised by mothers who in their youth are amongst the 80% of women chasing 20% of men and once they're rejected by those desired men this is when african american women bring up race.

  • @worldworks thanks for the comment.. im not sure bout it proving.. but u know i think theres plenty self-hatred to go around..

  • @worldworks agree ont hat.

  • @fortruth3 black girls are horrible and have bad attidudes and big mouths.

  • @Moreniqua she sure does and it has nothing to do with racism. She is not an attractive white girl but she is attractive as an African American.

  • yea its really true. She looks a little like Tia and Tamera

  • @vancevexed I said the same thing, she is a cute black girl but a fried white girl.

  • @vancevexed Gee your underlying racial tones aren't obvious. Okay let me try.

Wow its amazing what white facial features can do to dark skin. It makes them that much more attractive. How was that?

  • racism is gay, plenty my boys black, go to Iraq and get shot at, tell me white and black matters after that when you have to trust people of all races for your survival, we all bleed red

  • Pretty words indeed, but when you get back to the USA your inborn hate for Blacks will return, you simply hide it.

  • i wish they would take the black guy, dressed white, to the hood. were the blacks will mess with him and see how it is. i work there all the time and it IS different!

  • That works both ways you idiot, take the white dude dressed Black and take him to a KKK meeting and see if he does not get lynched.

  • lol wth

  • Maybe then he'll get it. Literally! LOL 8*X

  • The white girl, Rose, has a lived too much of a sheltered life to be expected to create poetry that those black people will overall praise. Her experiences are too simple that leaves people bored. Also , that poem she wrote is from a white girl perspective and those people think shes a black girl... so they don't get it.

And that gay guy reciting poetry needs to discover himself and stop talking like a gay guy. He is not even aware of his own voice.lol

  • I've watched this a couple of times, and I noticed one thing that makes me sad... At the very beginning, even though Renee doesn't like Carmen, she's really trying to help her, steer her toward what one should wear to be respectful and respectable at someone else's church -- a smart suit and a hat. And Carmen was too self-absorbed to even hear it, and went straight to the dashikis.

  • That young lady in the green dress (Latoya) reminds me of the few things I hate about poetry slams: There's always that ONE girl there who is ultra-feminist and generalizes ALL men the same way.

I'll admit, it can seem the whole world is that bad sometimes. But when you perform it in a diverse audience, it comes off more like angry whining...

She's a successful, independent woman - I get that. She should just... calm down a little. Nobodies' out to get her.

  • i felt tha same when i watched it.. thanks kuroi..

  • was that black dude at 4:45 really not gay? what the fuck was he?

  • What the FUCK was that at 6:24? man, woman? beast?

  • well we all know what YOU are...8 letters... "ignorant"

  • idk maybe he's just real feminine... lol

  • i personally think the black woman and the white man need to check themselves......the white woman should try to be less naive, and the black man should give up on trying to get the white man to listen because the white dude is brain dead.

  • that white lady is stupid, like we wear the same clothes to church as others all except for the hats...I mean c'mon..she's prettier with some color anyway...

  • the black lady stupid

she should've told her she didnt like the clothes

and the bitch thing was just so dramatic

  • I see black women wear them things to church all the time... I don't think the black lady is being fair... And I'm black... Sheesh... She would look silly as a white woman wearing it so now she can... So let her

  • I think that the Black Family is not being patient with the white family. When you are trying to teach a child a math problem, he/she is going to have trouble off the back trying to solve the problem, they are going to make mistakes. Its the same thing with the Mother, she was just making a mistaking in trying to learn what black really is. I would have laughed if it was me and walked 10 steps behind them.

  • thats wut is ridiculous bout this show. why should she have to "learn what black really is." isnt the point of the show to open the eyes of different races about racism? not to make the other race try to be someone else?

  • i think the white lady got them because the shop was just there

  • lol

  • The black family, whilst aren't racist, are as ignorant and foolish as their beloved 'white devils'. These people are the sorts of 'black folk' satirised by Black Comedians. Everything and anything you say or do is construed as a stab at their skin colour. Perhaps the reason 'white' people don't like this family and stay away from them, isn't because they are black it is because they would be painful to be around and are way too uptight. They are fucking ignorant and extremely grating.

  • The black people want to talk about how they have to assimilate, but then when the white family want to wear an African outfit they are upset. I just think most black people have a problem they need to sort out themselves, by the way I am 'black' and I'm not saying there is no racism.

  • I noticed the double-standard there, too. Renee criticizes the Wurtzels both for not getting the black experience and for being "inquisitive" about black culture.

  • The white woman sounds so white.

  • i love dashikis. if I was black I would be rockin' the wax cloth. By the way I grew up on gov't commodities and I loved that stuff! Good memories lol.

  • The black parents get to make all sort of snide racist comments about the white family like when the black mother said: "Look, they leave their eggs out like that" and laugh about it, but when the white family says some stupid shit, they are hailed as the big bad guys. Why the double standard?

  • Are dashikis really that much worse than Brian thinking that playing golf and going to a country club is a true white experience? Or that all white people dress like golfers?

  • It's the same thing like when the son went to etiquitte classes. White people don't do that. Personally, I think the black couple just have this attitude that if they're by a white person, the think the white person is automatically racist. Or like, any comment a white person makes no matter what it is, they'll just TRY to find something racist about it. That attitude WILL make a white person racist. In this case, the black couple definately seems more ignorant than the white couple.

  • I think you have made a good comparison with golf clothes and the african clothes. Both sets of clothing mark membership in a particular subset of society as a whole, one being "the country club set" (i.e. well of businessmen who are generally conservative) and the other being a kind of relic from the late 1960's black activists' promotion of African identity. What surprises me is that Carmen isn't told that choosing such clothing won't go over well in a church and will make passing harder.

  • @nansflicks I think the main issue is the fact that NOBODY wears dashikis. some white people actually do dress like they're 96 (mostly the ones who are 96, but still)

  • I didn't say anything about my ethnicity, so there's no need to assume anything (especially since you were wrong). I wasn't hating, I was just making a statement which was proved true seeing as how no one in the church was wearing that. I've actually been to Africa and people pretty much wore the clothes you see anywhere: jeans, t-shirts, etc. To me it didn't make sense for them to assume that the 'black' they are is African ESPECIALLY because they didn't know anything about African culture.

  • just for the record..

WE HUMANS ARE TRULY ALL AFRICANS

mother of all found in ethiopia.. thas africa yall!

the cultural bias against african garb or any sort of wear is just fashion and fads which fade with time.. some find ripped clothes comfortable while others think its tacky.. examples of how different does not mean better, just another way

  • I wanted to refrain from commenting on this show, but I just have to say Carmen really gets on my nerves. (Bruno too, but Carmen really, REALLY irritates me.) Just because you're 'black' doesn't mean you're African... And Just because you're African doesn't mean you walk around LA in the 'typical African' garb.

  • oh my am hooked on to this show!!!

  • Aside from replying to everyone else, this is what I wanted to say. OK, the Dasheekis (sp?) were nice looking... but most African Americans don't wear that - we're American!

Also I'm not trying to pick a fight, but I want to know what "more outrageous" means????

  • in fact jayne i thought renee acted like a typical black in responding with a lil disdain for the idea of wearing traditional african garb.. y dont blacks look at the african culture with more reverence? bcause the programming is complete and was intentional.. check out my bamboozled vid for perspective..

  • imho "more outrageous" points to how there is a deep rooted desire being acted out. from sour grapes to continuous tanning, whites (at least in the us) run the spectrum of reactions to not possessing melanin.

putting on black face is like dancing with fire in a way.. n of course not getting burnt.. so how far can the experience go while adorning "their" clothes.. like the child smiling when just haven stolen from the cookie jar, "outrageous" describes the giddy feeling of getting away with it..

  • Hmm tough. When she said it made me think "wow, how far away does she think we are, like there's some huge chasm between what is deemed appropriate and we Blacks do. Black culture is WAY out there, we're OUTRAGEOUS, we live w/o discretion or restraint. We're primal." That's how that statement rubbed me. *shrug* Still a good show.

Where is this bamboozled vid you want me to check out? I was looking for it.

  • I feel she has a valid point if you look at black culture as a whole... which to most whites = the BET. I know that's not what it's limited to but to suburban white people like that, that's what they see and it's what they associate with it. Especielly religious suburban white people, things that are truely considered outrageous or ridiculous.. that's just how it's seen from our culture.

  • There is disrespect, but you know I think it's 1/2 and 1/2 in the Black community as far as wanting to relate to Africa. At the same time, I think we're very much American in that we focus on our present lives, here & now. Part of it is because our CLOSE history is fragmented - forget finding African roots if you're trying to find dad. Then the older generation was in survial mode; they weren't trying to dig up history so they didn't preserve it. Still there's an awakening going on to our roots

  • Honestly maybe I should start complaining about how hard I have it becuase of germans or the british. Soooooo... just suck it up and shut up.

  • If you're jewish you should really complain about the Romans ;)

  • I am European and my parent's are immigrants, you think we get any special treatment because were white? We have it just as hard as any oriental or african immigrant family. If you want to blame someone blame the Government's of nations and the imperialist's namely the british. By the way many nations participated in slave trading so you can't single out white people.

  • I'm not saying that you don't have it rough, but keep in mind 99% of black people were born in this country. How would you feel to be treated like an immigrant in a country that your family has been in for hundreds of years?

  • strtt.. i would probably feel like i would have to work with what i have, struggle with my peers, cling and lean on the strength of my family.. hmm.. now contrast that with people who have been taught not to trust each other, not to think too highly of each other, and not to love themselves.. how would that impact ur thoughts? does this sound like a long time ago so doesnt apply? hmm.. how long does post traumatic stress take to recover from?

  • we've understood from vietnam that pst disorder can last years and years, even with regular counseling, the terror and negative habits still plague some vets.. what should we say about GENERATIONS programmed in self-hate?

i hear u that it is hard for anyone trying to make it today.. no one including africans hold a monopoly on hardship.. but until we understand that estimates place over 100 million africans died, that generations of programming are complete, that we have yet to begin counseling

  • ..to bring black and even whites to a point to understanding both guilt and responsibility in all that programming, we will never reach tru understanding which will eventually bring forth tru healing. there's alotta pain to let go of.. u cant let go till u recognize that u r holdin onto somethin

what r those things? for blacks and whites.. what responsibilities do each have in a forgotten history and a letting go of the struggle? there is enough blame for all, but the bottom line is..

  • our children will inherit what we do or fail to do to solve our racial divide.

i suggest that it is no accident that these issues are not taught in school. real learning will have to come by way of these types of discussions.. and the better example of what to do must come from U

read, learn, teach.. bring others to the discussion and remember divide and conquer is one of the most effective rules of war

    we have been took

  • I agree with you and never said I wasn't or anyone shouldn't do those things you mentioned. I was just replying to someone saying we blacks being immigrants. I was correcting them by saying most balck Americans aren't and that despite that fact, we are treated as such.

  • Another point is that it's not "my" history, I am not american and my family did not enslave any people. It seems like you like to group all white people into one sinister entity when it fact this is not the case.

  • jed - it certainly can seem like blacks complain.. LOTS.. when i look around and barely see a native american family, i am reminded of how blacks r not singled out as the only hurt group. the pain of colonialization has many victims..

  • i ask though, hasnt the travesty against native americans been minimally recognized and amends attempted? there are designated and tribal unions where there are no equals in the african-american population. naacp, score, uncf.. all arguably puppeted organizations doing little to assist the whole. not to blame them or anyone else, blacks could certainly do more to help themselves but there r valid reasons why they do not.

  • even when vietnamese and other asians were rounded up and interned during ww2, there was a public apology and reparations made. what was given to blacks? except for the pope's apology, can u say there has been a serious public acknowledgment of what happened? and what did happen actually? even if he didnt exist the willie lynch papers discuss a guideline which we can see worked very well against those the techniques were applied.

  • the black family may have survived, but where do u see a communal bond? besides scattered kwanzaa celebrations, what cultural expressions do blacks own and participate in? notice blacks as a whole barely identify with ANY culture.

Yes jed, let's understand history.. teach of african tribes enslaving other tribe members.. but also explain that that enslavement WAS NOT the decimation and humiliation against the person and their being as done in the us.

  • when i look upon jewish families walking to temple every night, i see solidarity and strength.. even with the millions killed, they understand their heritage and keep the culture going by practicing long held customs. what blacks do that?

i understand someone not enjoying this reality being brought up often.. but this is why we discuss.. i suggest if ever a card should be played, its when the card has value and is worthy of recognition.

  • Jews v Blacks: I'm no Jew, so this'll be 1sided. While we are a people bond by color & oppression, not all Blacks had the same experience. As the 1st video pointed, there are color divides in Black America stemming from historical favoritism toward Lights & reciprocal spite from Darks- Imposed by Whites from slavery-1990s. Much like in Hispanic countries or 1950's U.S. when Italians weren't considered White. There's also economic divides like Whites. Still, our love, pride & struggles unite us.

  • There's splits, but the Black community is more unified than the whites or even other ethnic groups. I'm just saying this, looking at it from the outside. Black communities fight less with each other.

  • i wish black folk were more unified.. i dont see it.. a reported 60k came together to support the jena six.. where is that volume in support of black biz or combating the "Black Hair" phenom.. check the vid about the korean profiteering

  • I feel you ForTruth3, especially on The willie lynch papers comment!!! You're preaching! I definitely feel you here:

"i suggest if ever a card should be played, its when the card has value and is worthy of recognition."

  • Only Japanese Americans on the west coast were rounded up.

The thing that's hella unfair is that Charles Lindbergh was going around talking up the Nazis, trying to help Germany win, and they didn't do anything to that guy. There were Italians boosting for Mussolini, and they didn't do much to Italians. Because they're white.

Japanese were laying low, but it was the American Way to hate Asians, so they got sent to prison camp.

  • I am tired of black people using the "slavery" and "racism" card. Every empire and most nations used slave labour and dicrimated against minorities. This is evident is africa too as rival tribes took captures and put them into slave labour. When white people arrived to africa alot of familes even traded family members and their slaves to the white merchants for western goods. Know your history and stop complaining, your not the only ones that suffered throughout history.

  • of course black people are not the only ones who suffered. However, you act as if black people and others are not still suffering and do not have the right to complain. Some Africans did sell members of their rival tribe into slavery. However, it was very very very rare for an African to sell his own tribe members or family into slavery. White people however sold their won children into slavery. Jefferson enslaved many of his own illegitimate children. Learn Your History!
