what we call finesse of playing. its incredible. cello has met with such personalities who had flown them up to the firth. truly warner and cello complement each other and they complement plainly
Wendy! You always play so well, plus your shifting is uncontainable... I'm so glad I got to study with you for 2 years!! Has it really been that long... Good luck at Michigan!
Such lovely playing as this is highly suitable for the significant paintings at the Phillips, where fortunately one can enjoy moving art when the concert is not at the same level. Today I felt lucky to be able to stare at Kandinsky's Study for the White Border Painting and a Marc animal picture when a quite well-known Trio essayed wretchedly with Beethoven. Playing like that is an insult to the fine paintings: indifferent, peevish, sleepy. The Phillips is so fine, I won't even mention names.
can we have someone who plays violin......

Snootzie78, give Wendy 5 more years and you won't be able to read a magazine without seeing an article on her... She will be one of the greats.

Her vibrato is wonderful and so rich. I have never heard of her before watching this video, but I'm sorry that I haven't. What a wonderful cellist!
