  • Oooh too cool! Do you think the Ranger Alcohol inks would be a great effect on this technique or not?

  • Great idea!!! Love non-traditional scrapbooking -- especially for cards!!!

  • I just tried this and i don't have a Cuddlebug i used a embossing fold and a rolling pin and it came out grate. Thank You.

  • try using leather in the bug, see what you think of it. see what ideas your son could come up with using the leather. Wet is before embossing if it is thick and stiff

  • Hi, I wanted to share this tip with you also. Try running leather through the bug, it turns out beautiful. You may want to wet the leather if it is really a stiff leather like men's belts. Your son may have more ideas in his creativity using leather!

  • @hipHopCheerleader I got mine @ Joann fabrics, in their craft section. I used a 40% of coupon :)

  • Smart young man in your family! Children don't restrict themselves to rules, just to what happens if? Thank you for presenting it.

  • Hi. Can u please tell me where you got that crimper. Please somebody. Thanks

  • Great idea! And thanks to meandmychickies for the tip about sharpening the cricut blade!

  • Cool!! Foil can also be used to sharpen your cricut blade!! Awesome for after cutting glitter paper! It de gunks and sharpens. Just fold up into a cube or thick ball and continuously poke in and pull out! :0)

  • Thanks to your kid! I love the card!!

  • neat idea! very creative. thanks.

  • the foil is quite good.

the thin version can be filled with moten hot glue wax or epoxy to make it solid.

It can also be embeded in the epoxy for an interesting effect.

  • this is great!

  • I was actually told that running foil through your Cuttlebug with your Dies keeps the dies healthy and extends the life of your dies. The same for using foil with your punches. One last thing when you emboss and you don't have thick foil, you can put glossy accents on the underside of your embossed foil let dry. The embossing is super sturdy. We used the foil/glossy accents/Embossing for Christmas ornaments.

  • awesome! tfs ~Hopelynn

  • Try coloring over the piece once it's been embossed. Use a brayer or a finger

dauber rubbed from an ink pad - think how pretty that Xmas tree would be with

    some color - even white!

  • Way cool for your son to think up such a great idea!

    aloha

  • I luv this idea, I used it on a mini album. Thanks so much!

  • the Diamond Plate embossing folder looks awesome in foil

  • I think I need to borrow your 11 yo so he can give me ideas!! Great tip! :)

  • did you email then or some thing ive never seen a red cuttle bug i know you xcan get other cricut in colors but not cuttle bug no fair !!!!!!!!!!!

  • thank you son us a great mind and a great heart sharing is ideas w us..

  • if you glue the foil to a piece of card stock with plain old glue stick, you wouldn't have to use so much foil.

  • Love this idea!

  • Way niffty idea! Oh by the way where did you find your red and white cuttlebug? It almost matches my red and white pepermint cricut.

  • TFS....tell your son thanks as well.

  • Can'y wait to try it!!

  • Thanks again for your video...this is so awesome.

  • You can also use an aluminum can. But foil is easier!!!
