  • Thumbs up if you love this brilliant song!

  • This reminds me of my ZX spectrum and being deeply in love with all those games

  • TRYING TO BE LIKE JOY DIVISION,BRILLIANT SONG THOUGH

  • Paul's playing bass left handed? Nice one OMD!! Cheeky sods!!

  • pure class in any decade much underrated

  • My 11 year old daughter asked why today's music is so bad after she heard this.

  • @teddyballgame406 I don't have any children, but it must be a strange experience as a parent. Greetz.

  • @teddyballgame406 You can get all their 31 promo videos, including this song on their 2008 Messages: The Greatest HIts CD/DVD.

  • Good old days, o.m.i.t.d good album but Organisation is my favourite- roll back the 80,s

  • NEW WAVE WITH A MUSCLED HARMONY...glowing bright!

  • I love omd, reminds of my high school days listening to music, skipping class on some warm fall afternoon...

  • Although this was a good album, my favorite was The Pacific Age.

I actually remade a song on that album, "Watch us Fall"

In fact if you search for it as "watch us fall OMD", you will find my remake.

  • Who else heard a smidgen of Enola Gay at the end?

  • @billyb4223 yup, i heard it too. Good ear!

  • just seen this on vintage tv, forgot how good this was

  • does anyone know the bass tabs for this?

  • CLASSIC SONG FROM 1980 , ATIME WHEN MUSIC WAS AT ITS ALL TIME BEST,GROUNDBREAKING FROM 2 PIONEERING ARTISTS. A TIME WHEN LIFE WAS SIMPLE AND CAREFREE, PEOPLE SMILED AND LOOKED OUT FOR EACHOTHER. PLEASE HURRY UP WITH THE TIME MACHINE , I WANNA GO STRAIGHT BACK TO 1980 NOW - HELP .

  • Back in the early 80's when "Muisic Videos" were the new thing, they could be pretty dire...but this was a great video for it's time simple and effective.

    My favorite O.M.D track.

  • top song. its so atmospheric.

  • Liverpoo = lazy ... wonder what closed down factory floor this video was taken from?

  • @singaporelan . Blame Margaret Thatcher for the closed down factories in Liverpool ya slinty eyed arsehole.

  • Top tune, to listen with headphones on makes it sound amazing, the bass is amazing, can't believe it's 32 yrs old

  • L I V E R P O O L

  • great song. Takes me back to being 18 again!

  • @calamitycelt I was 15, and I loved it!!!!!!!!

  • Love the Intro

  • Music that is still ahead of it's time.

  • Muito bom.

  • god take me back to the 80s. cant stand todays crap. omd awesome.

  • @zetechats well said, well put. i think everybody is fed up with the one dimensional teenage idiots being churned out

  • iam 22 , i listen this track because my father is fan

  • @kunapwd You can view all their videos, including this one on their 2008 Album called, Messages: The Greatest Hits CD/DVD. You will hear Enola Gay after this video. Thats a promise. I have seen the videos and i still love it.

  • Why is, "Paul Humphreys" playing a Guitar in the Video for?

  • @JonMcElectro It's a BASS you don't here the BASS?

  • @ejektro Oh. So it is. Sorry, what I meant to say was why is, "Paul" playing a Bass for? He usually plays Synths!

  • timeless cool. still sounds more cutting edge than most music today.

  • As I was saying, before I was so rudely interrupted...

So glad young people have discovered this stuff. You appreciate how ahead-of-it's-time the music was. Glad you love it as much as I do. Peace.

  • Fine second single. Notice for "Electricity," it was just the duo, but now have expanded to a four piece. First period band I can recal that employed synths, bass and drums WITHOUT a guitar. Even the great Numan used and played a lot of guitar work in his pioneering material. 1980--ahh, to be 27 and back in Greenwich Village, again!!! Only thing I would change would be that walking prostate, Reagan. Or Ray-gun. As he was known.

So glad young people have discovered just how great and ahead-of-

  • Raises emotions and memories of our time before TOTP beckoned and stole our band.Timeless and personal, viva Andy twinkle toes Mac.

  • Visited a friends house and heard this fantastic sound from his sisters bedroom. She'd just bought a new L.P. from an unknown group called OMD. It was 1980,it was this track and I was 14yrs old at the time.30 years later,it still sounds fresh, new and takes me back to that day in my mates house.

  • its probably cammel lairds dick

  • My dad loved this band had it on in the car constantly when i was about 8/9.

  • i played this track religiously warming up the sound system at the club!

  • 10 years old and i bought this track in the recordstore in Holland and when it came out all the young 20ers were looking at me like i was from mars...One year before i stole the track Electricity from my sister that i gave her back later in life...Its still a topic of conversation on birthdayparty,s at my parents house...lol

  • great stuff. There is aboslutely nothing like this nowadays.

  • this needs a remix

  • Great song. A defunct factory in UK in 1980s and we've been carrying on that proud tradition right through to today. You've all done very well.

  • One of the best songs they have ever done to date ............ probably one of the best electro songs EVER !!!!

Scouse gits ................. from the Salford Sex Bomb

  • THIS IS IN BIRKENHEAD DOCKS.

  • now they send bullshit emails around ..... coded messages/poision indeedy.

  • Just the best from the 80's! amazing music LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

  • Absolutely brilliant, thanks for posting.

    My favourite OMD track.

  • cool as fuck

  • Back then my dad bough me a Korg micro preset synth, can you imagine how i felt knowing I had the OMD synth? you can hear it all the way through this, it's the bip bip bit. Often seen on their videos at the top of their racks with the knob panel on the left with sloped panel. I still have it (sorry wont ever sell it, means to much to me)

  • Great Stuff, good to hear this again. I saw them years ago when they supported Gary Numan....Ok they may dance like geography teachers but this is a good sound!

  • this dance... so strange looking today, but it shot me back so many years, like i'm there.. weird feeling.

  • First time I have heard this song and its a cracker. 1980 seems they where a very early electronic band.

  • Great to see so many 'younger' people enjoy this. Proper music with real thought behind it instead of the mindless vocoder-fuelled rubbish from today's so-called 'singers' and 'bands' :)

  • Just saw them in L.A. and they were AMAZING. Definitely the best concert I have ever been to. I had so much fun and I danced all night! Brilliant music <3

  • i dnt belong to this era we are in now send me back to the 80`s

  • @MrMitchell97 carefull what you wish for mate :)

  • Wow ,the walking into the wide open space for the first bars is just right on the money..drum machine guy does not break stride.class.

  • LIKE!!!!

  • Fuck... I was born in 1990 and my father played me this when i was young. And I'm listen this music and i like it :P many of my peers don't like to listen to this music btw I'm sorry for spelling mistakes if (I made these)

  • @PolishLoco dont worry about spelling mistakes, why should you care what a stranger thinks?

  • @JihadBunnydick I doesn't care what a stranger thinks, I just don't understand him.

  • The authentic New Romantics !

  • nerds

  • @Pepper6464 A nerd is based on what you like, not how you look. You can like Star Wars, weird card games that kids play today,or even girls. That is being nerdy,so I ask....."What kind of nerd are YOU"? Think about it.

  • This is the sound of "hope and change". the sound of good times... an economy that was getting stronger... the sound of a bright and happy future!

  • Went to see this band in 79 at Coventry theatre when they supported Gary Numan. There was just the two of them at the time and Winston the tape machine and had the pleasure of meeting Andy McClusky. Awesome band

  • good song

  • the only british band who came close to kraftwerk, in my opinion

  • @biscuitchannel This is Synth-pop. The British equivalent to Kraftwerk (electronic music) is Depeche Mode - The most successful electronic band in music history.

  • @MrRudyjj i didnt really mean success to be honest, i just meant style.
