hey men really thanks to the video.. you had saved me a pain in my neck man haha..BTW what about the bridge part of the song? What would be the chords for that? Can you just even give me your chords for the bridge part? I would really appreciate it man thank you a lot..
What tempo did you have the beat on? I'm also trying to figure out what beat that was, was it pop? Either way, you did an amazing job. Five stars *****
Beautiful lesson!!! One question thou... Which scale is used as a base for the song? You said that the song is written in C minor but there are couple of notes out of the ordinary C minor. You are using F# and A#. The closest I could find was D# augmented fifth scale, but once again one note is missing - F#. Please help me out!!! I'm a self taught musician and there are this kind (as the question) of road blocks that are keeping me away of progress - lets say :). Thanks in front!!!
@TheAsavasa And being so impressed by the lesson, I have to say - please post some videos on music theory!!! :):):):):) You are a great and profound teacher and few lessons from you will surely be useful. Maybe some lessons on chords and scales (scales out of the ordinary major - minor grayness). I'm a guitar player but much could be learned from piano lessons and piano players - the theory is just the same :D:D:D:D
@TheAsavasa - I'm so glad you are asking theory related questions and thanks for the compliments! Most songs don't usually follow ONE particular scale. If so, it would be very boring!! The F# and A# (Gb and Bb) in this case are used as passing tones meaning it's just a note getting you from scale tone to another. Don't get the key signature and the scale confused. The key is Eb major/C minor but that doesn't mean they only use notes and chords in that scale.
im not trying to imply anything since im also learning how to become a better musician and to be able to notice the differences in chords. sorry sir for asking a lot of questions i want to learn that's why im doing this. if your doing the whole melodic minor scale you'd be in the key of c right? and also why not use the whole melodic minor scale for the chords as well, or you can also mix it like when ur improvising? anyway thanks for reading more power and God bless
so sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I didnt see that this was up here until today. You have some great questions. If you are ever in the Virginia Beach area, look me up. I'll be happy to go over that stuff with you.
unfortunately i'm not from the states im here at hongkong working as a musician i'm really trying to grasp as much as i can because i'm having a lot of pressure here so i have to keep on studying and try to become a better musician
ok , nice video but like to ask a couple of questions./ if your writing in sheet music your key would be in Eb major right. ok since you started with a b diminish does it always have to be you should use to whole harmonic minor scale or can you also use the regular church modes . also in improvising i guess it would be ok but in chords as well? ok i have another one, before you go back to ur 1 or rote note isn't it a d minor 7 with a 6th
If you are asking about sheet music, I'm sure you can find it online. Part of the reason why I do these videos is so that you won't have to use sheet music. To each his own I guess.
I'm glad you asked! It's the Korg M3. It's tight!! It makes it easy for me to sequence songs like this one with great sounds. It set me back a pretty penny though.
Great tutorial! I learned the whole intro! Thanks!

can i have the music notes?
debbie0504 3 years ago 2
yes, i need them 2. (:
JettePatty 2 years ago
you dont really explain the left hand during the chorus. i need help with that.
milkchocolateluvr 3 years ago
The left hand just follows the chord type in the right hand. For example If the chord is a C minor just play a C in the left hand.
