However, if I am a non-believer perusing youtube and saw the title of your video "I AM NOT A CHRISTIAN, I would think you were an ATHEIST and KEEP moving onto a different video. It may be an eye-catcher for believers(stress maybe) but certainly a TURN OFF for those who Already DO NOT BELIEVE IN CHRIST. If you are bent on evangelizing it might be good to post Statement of Faith!

Jesus referred to us as DISCIPLES. We are to be born again believing disciples. Not just claim a title that we do not live up to. If people would stop claiming Christian, and start BEING Christians (bible-believing disciples) Jesus wouldn't have such a bad reputation in the world because of fake Christians.
The book of Acts reports that it was in Antioch that Christ's disciples were first called "Christians". It was "Christians" who were willing to embrace persecution, torture, prison & murder, for the sake of their risen Savior Jesus Christ. They were willing to give up everything for Christ. We are called "Christians" for two reasons. One we are a "peculiar" people, willing to give up ALL for Christ. 2nd, the name "Christian" is a term of contempt. Are you willing to be hated for Christ's sake?

So many believers are quick to claim persecution; but if i am provoking people to despise me, that isn't persecution. True persecution is unmerited. The bible says in Titus 2 that we are to live self controlled and godly lives so that no one has reason to despise us (vs 15). Because i understand what the word "Christian" meant in Acts, i'm not quick to throw around the term.
Jesus said in Matthew 10 that WE will be hated by all for His name's sake & not the other way around. It is therefore NOT a matter of Christ being hated for OUR sake. We, as Christians, have the privilege of carrying his name, and as a glorious consequence, the antagonism and hatred that is directed toward Christ will naturally shift to us. No matter how "righteous" you appear to be, people will find a way to label you a hypocrite. You & I are NOTHING! Christ is EVERYTHING!
@matthew11and25 Matthew 5:16 says - "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
So with that being said, I agree with what you are speaking and teaching.
Today's "Christians" are quick to claim the title and not live the meaning. So YES I see why you are denouncing the TITLE, but not the LIFESTYLE.
As said in the first video, you are still trying to walk, live, and be what God laid out for all of us to be.
@GMDOCNICE -AMEN, AMEN, AMEN...To be called Christians is an HONOR at ANYTIME:-) When you began to choose WHEN to be called a Christian then it is very possible to allow Satan to come and take up residence in your life. @matthew 11and 25- if this was my ministry, I would seek God's face day and night to see if He wanted me to take this approach. I would not want to be responsible for misleading persons from attaining Christ or going deeper in HIM. Amen!
