@RichB1979 yes that is Jim Kelly he was playing at the USFL at that time and went to all Canes games when he was not playing himself at the time. He was also at the 1986 Sugar and 1987 Fiesta Bowls as well.

I remember Don Criqui called the 95 Orange Bowl on NBC radio when Tom Osborne finally won his first National Championship (against Miami).

An SMU vs Miami (Fla) (or FSU or Florida) game at Texas stadium would have probably been a classic if SMU had not messed up its recruiting.
