  • love ur website

  • Great color review!

  • i hate fall fishing i only like spring and summer

  • that's because winter is a challenging season for bass fishing. But I garenteed you that if you do catch a winter bass, you'll learn more than you will catching a summer bass. Go go out there in the winter and win yourself a fish, it will be tough, but you'll learn alot.

  • im in connecticut so the lakes are frozen. ive caught fish in the fall, i still dont like it that much

  • oh yea, and good luck at toledo bend

  • These don't work man I tried them. They need to stop lying to us just trying to get us to buy them. Heck I used a live worm I dug up and it still works better. Fish are smarter nowadays. I bet smarter then these guys!

  • Maybe it is operator error.

  • LoL Nah J/K! I never tried it. I was just trying to pull your leg. Very Informative for me. I'm no smarter than a bad egg! LoL

  • I can't believe you were trying to let out that live worm trick that all the pros use. LOL

  • Lol that was so funny

  • haha way to keep positive john, hey i've finally got a chance to through your clear chartreuse, and cell mate MD series, Pretty Awesome, today's probably the first day of Fall fishing here in Central California. hope we have a good fall here

  • isaac651, youll buy more than a cople... these are the bomb digity lol... i love these

  • Where do you fish your chaertruse cranks at. along the shore or deep diving?

  • what cranks are those?

  • Little John by SPRO

  • hey i live in NH and i fish a lake with weeds but very little there are rock ledges and island out in the middle of the lake and 10 to 15 feet of water were do you think i should fish late spring early summer and what bait should i be using

  • I would try to fish the edge of weeds with a soft plastic worm

i live in pennsylvania n i use zoom worms

n i kill on basicly any strucktures

  • Excellent lookin' crankbaits...I still gotta buy some, maybe jus a couple to start with...Nice video too...

  • Nice video....I just hired you for my fantasy fishing team....I know Smith is close to you...I am sure you'll do well.....If not I may fire you.....lol just kidding good luck this weekend.....God Bless

  • awesome video and revalations is the best song in the world!!

  • Love the videos John!

  • John..... thanks for making the best shallow crankbait on the market BAR NONE. I love this bait and when the prespawn heats up here in a few weeks, I'll be killing 'em with my Rootbeer/Chartreuse (the color you show in the video). Would you consider adding a "sexy shad" version to the line?

  • Thanks for the props. My version will be at ICAST. Due out shortly after. -JC

  • This is one of the best crank bait vidios out there. Great job John!

From The ExBassGuide ( I have a few tip videos too)

    Roger

  • sorry about all the questions but out of all those crank baits witch ones do u think would do the best in the valley the water down there is murky?

  • would those cranks work good even though i dont have a boat? becaise im only 17 and i cant really go a lot of places other then in the valley

  • Like all lures it has a place and time. If the situation calls for a shallow crank, Little John will catch em!

  • is there any special reel that i should use when i use these lures, some people told me to use the bait casting and others have told me it doesnt matter.

  • I prefer Abu Garcia REVO reels- baitcasting. You can use spinning reels and they will do fine as well.

  • John,

I just started using your Spro Little Johns in the firetiger and the chart/black black. They are by far the best crankbait on the market today. I have used them all and plan on giving most away except the little john's. They have won me a ton of dough here in the mid-atlantic area. Thanks Again!!!!!

  • Thanks! It has won me some money, too. We have the Medium Diver, MD, soon. We also have more colors coming next summer.

    -JC

  • Question. What pound line would you use for these cranks, are they more effective using a certain line, mono or fluorocarbon?

  • i like using mono because it has a little bit of stretch and i mostly fish likes with very litte heavy cover, some people like to use flouro and braid because its sensitive and braid can be used it really heavy cover situations and also i would suggest using anywhere from 10-14 pound test depending on the structure your fishing some people who fish the delta here in california use 50 pound braid when they fish the heavy timber and weeds just make sure u use weedless trebles to keep from snags

  • I just got one ?

What are the - and + on a fishing reel???

  • When all else fails, read the manual. Some do a great job explaining the reel. You might be talking about the brake. This controls the speed that the spool spins.

  • Cool man thanks, Yeah it did not have amanual, Thanks for taking the time to help

  • or it might be the drag. the drag is how hard the fish has to pull to pull out line. with lighter line you want to loosen the drag so that you don't snap your line.

  • Nice, check some of our Australia Bass Hogs dude.

    Cheers Aussie Steve

  • whats the song at the beginning of the video up to 0:09

  • jo momma

  • i catch around 10 bass a day on a texas rigged worm with tequila sunrise purple worm so beat that high dollar lures

  • i have all those i catch around 5 bass a day

  • nicely done

  • Thanks

  • all of em seem good any time of the year....lol. so chartruese is good in the staind water is what i got out of it, Browns and reds good for spring. i give it a try thanks! "thisa one good for the spring and the fall" u said that like 5 times. lol

  • Thanks for the tips. But man, I think I'm the only person in the world who hates fishing with cranks... I always snag everything and I've only caught one fish with them. I always give them a try but I never seem to have a good experience with them :-\. Who knows though, maybe this spring will be different

  • I hate rattle traps.... the only thing ive caught is a snaping turtle....

  • hey thank you for the tip! If you have any more please share them! Thanks for posting this and helping us fishermen out!

  • I guess you're right

  • no offence but these are not really tips, they are a color explanation

  • What part of explaining when to throw what colors is not a tip? Thanks for watching.

  • John you the man. I appreciate these tips and for talking to us (Bass Fishing Team at VT) at the Richmond Fishing Expo. Good luck in the classic!

  • thx for the advice
