The reason is simple enough. If videos were non-tool-assisted then there would have be some verification against cheating. Otherwise people could use tools to cheat but make it imperfect enough to look like someone _might_ have done it legitimately.

Tool-assisted speedruns make it impossible to cheat, since by the very nature of it being tool-assisted, cheating is impossible. And a cheat-free system is crucial.

Not bad for being tool assisted, my record for this game is 100% compeltion in under two hours. Once you know where everything is it takes no time to beat it. Though it is still my favorite mario game of all time.

Man, this is one wery good game and a real classic. Man i've played this game a lot (91% of full completition is my best and current), but i didn't know about the passage to Star Road at that Ghost House level.
