I dunno if the rumors are real... here's what they say. she's gay. she broke up with her tomboy gf one week before this song, because her gf didn't want her to keep singing in the contest anymore. it's kinda hard to imagine that she's actually holding back her feelings when singing this... cuz it's so touching. and she really got some awesome voice
