  • Hello Retarbiter,

I have been playing all kinds of drums for over for over40 years. You could try to play to records but you would be better off if you try to fing a teacher to help you. You can find Bongo books at most music stores. I also have a DVD video for sale that shows the beginner how to play the basics.

    Thanks

    Mike

  • Hi ryan79ryan,

Thanks for the nice complements. I have played Santana's music and I still enjoy it. I was fortunate to have dinner once with the Santana Percussion section and I learned quite a bit from them. I am glad you enjoyed the video.

  • Im just starting out in the bongo world, very impressed with your playing. Will look for your dvd on Ebay

  • love it, i'm trying to incorperate some bongo drums in my music because i really enjoy the sound and it looks like a simpler instrument...this is excellent. how long did it take you to learn this?

  • jaigurudevaummm,

Thank you for the complements. I have been playing drums and percussion over 40 years. Bongos are simple to play but just like all other instruments you need to work on your sound. I have a DVD that I sell on e-bay for beginners. It is called - Beginners Bongo Drumming with Mike Gallichio

Thanks again and I am glad you enjoyed the video.

  • i'll look into that! thanks.

  • Nice clean work, Mike. I like how you start slow and simple and then wind it up. I'm gonna steal a couple of those rhythms you play at the end!

  • Thank you for the kind words. I am glad you enjoy my bongo drumming. I am also glad you can use some of the rhythms.

    All The Best. Mike Gallichio
