i am a muslim, and i come from a family and cultur that are 99% sunni. i, myself, have never defined myself as sunni, shia, sufi or whatever.. i love the sufi poem and music.. i love rumi's poems, i read martin lings and frithjof schuon, and it doesn't make me a sufi... i respect everything, and arguing about what is best and what is right is just ridicolous. muslims fighting with each other about who is the best, is just embarrasing.. you are dead wrong about Islam. I can writh a University level thesis with solid evidence to support that Christianity and other religion are more violent and brutal than Islam ever was. Thesis---- during the the period when Muslims controlled spain it was a plural society and everyone was allowed to practice their own faiths. there was great institutions of Math, science philosophy and so on. when the christians took over they slaughtered all the non-christian.

It is not my desire that the weak man should have wrong done to him by themighty....Darius' goal was to be a great law-giver and organizer. He structured the empire under the satrapy system (similar to national and local governments). Darius( Cyrus)built many roads, ports, banking houses (the word "check" comes from Old Persian), elaborate underground irrigation systems and a canal to link the Nile to the Red Sea (an early precursor of the Suez Canal).

Great man existd always, n in every community. but the dark ages refer to the yr 300-1000AD. I m repeating again, name me ten cyrus or darius betwn the yr 300-1000AD, in othr wrds during the dark ages. u kp mentionin Cyrus , Darius. but so did greeks, indians/hindus, chinese, greeks (n we knw wht happen2 greek philosophers).

i agree, term dark ages was used to refer to teh conditions in Europe. now i askd u over n over agian, wht ws the conditions of the of persia at tht time, n its contribution to the modern world? where r the great Cyrus n Darius's of Persia from the yr 300-100AD? i am still waiting. n stop making assumptions dear friend. u c, to err is to be human, but to really make a dogs breakfast, a mixed up mess, is to make assumptions!

hello friend, hope ur good. u still havent answerd my quistions. i am having to reiterate the sam ethng over n over again. wht happend to Persia 600BC for around 30 yrs, happend to china, india, greeks, egypt, as well, its nothing new my friend. i asked u few simple quiestions, so just go through my earlier comments n see if u can provide the material, n leave ur emotions to one side.

For two centaury Persians relentlessly fought against the barbaric people and finally their perseverance paid off and Persian managed to kick the invaders out and keep their language and culture, but it was too late to keep their religion.
Because of 200 years of sever hardship Persian never recovered and until today they are fighting to regain their dignity and true cultural identity

Ur complaining n crying wth croodile tears, becoz ancient persia ws invaded, by a Powerful force, but persians hav bn at it for since time immemorial. Who invaded Egypt? Until kicked out unceremoniously, not only 4 looting their land, but also destrying their religion, stealing their sacred texts. Don't forget how the Ionian ppl ws crushed, n thn the European Greeks. Finnaly defeated n shamed by in the battle of Marathon, n Salamis. Persian dreams ws also erased by Alex the Great too.

Basically that shows how ignorant you are about the ancient civilizations and you live in cloud cuckoo land. You think Islam has done so much for humanity that is your opinion. We have seen the brute force of Islamic regime in Iran, and past 1400 has been the same , that is why Iranians fought against these barbarians , what ever Islam achieved it was because of its colonies, like what made a British a powerful Empire, because they conquered and looted countries one after another

you are dead wrong about Islam. I can writh a University level thesis with solid evidence to support that Christianity and other religion are more violent and brutal than Islam ever was. Thesis---- during the the period when Muslims controlled spain it was a plural society and everyone was allowed to practice their own faiths. there was great institutions of Math, science philosophy and so on. when the christians took over they slaughtered all the non-christian.

It is not my desire that the weak man should have wrong done to him by themighty....Darius' goal was to be a great law-giver and organizer. He structured the empire under the satrapy system (similar to national and local governments). Darius( Cyrus)built many roads, ports, banking houses (the word "check" comes from Old Persian), elaborate underground irrigation systems and a canal to link the Nile to the Red Sea (an early precursor of the Suez Canal).

Thats fine, if this how u tell me, i agree. You are not answering my quiestions. I never said civilisation never existed in Persia. It did, n so did the chinese NOT 600BC, but 2,500 BC, when they invented ink, tea and silk, alphabets etc. So its not only exclusive to the Persians. You did not answer my quiestions. Not even one. You sound like n angry, upset young man.
