Another thing, take a look at the Rotterdam concert and you'll see Layne was fried out of his mind. Could be he was goin heavy on the drugs at the time, if so it really seemed to affect him. He didn't seem to have trouble with the new stuff from Dirt in 91 so my guess is that it was the drugs.

Except for their concert in Rotterdam in 93, this is the only live recording of Rotten Apple (with Layne, they've done it with Duvall) that I've heard. Very possible they played it on the tour but recordings just haven't survived/don't exist, anyway, thanks for uploading this!

I just went and checked the Layne thread on the website you mentioned in your post description. The old thread, the one where a certain "eMetal" cracks a story about Mike leaving Layne is deleted...do you remember what was said exactly? One can just imagine what happened...

lol Layne fucked up the lyrics so badly every time they played this song live.

Here he missed a line early in the first verse which caused him to repeat a later line. Sung a line in the third verse during what should have been the second, then went back to the first line of the second verse after haha. Changed a line in the third verse,

Least he came in at the right time during the chorus here. He butchered that part in the other vid horribly lol. Poor guy, he was so strung out...

Great song.

@monox2k Maybe he was strung out, I wouldnt know, but this was a new song, he probably just didnt have the lyrics memorized. Just because he had a drug problem you shouldnt automatically assume hes fucked up.

This was performed at Brixton Academy in October of 1993. They did 2 nights there and there are bootleg videos of both nights out. I have been trying to find them for a long time. Someone uploaded the video for the song Godsmack from this show but then they took it down.
