First off Georgie: Palestine was not a country and it belonged to the Turks not the Palestinians. 2nd the establishment of a Jewish homeland took place in 1918, not 1945 and was approved by the league of nations in the 1920's. 3rd the spanish expelled the jews in 1942 they did not leave voluntarily. 4th, if you read your bible you will see that God gave the children of Abraham Isaac and Jacob the land that clearly belonged to another people i.e. the Canaanites

There were no 'Palestinian' leaders. There was no 'Palestinian' people.

In 1948, Israel was divided by UN decision (which no-one argues).

Arab armies pushed the palestinians aside so they can have their war with Israel (against UN decision).

The pal's escaped the Arab armies, not the jewish one.

Since then, the palestinian national has been manipulated by Arab nations for political and territorial gains.

Who promoted Palestinian independence before 1948? No-one (not even they did). Not during british rule, or turkish or muslim.

The same could be said about the Zionists who used the Jews to prop up their own political aims and ambitions to stake a claim to that land. @BerryColor in regards to you comment about religionin the modern world. israel is not a religious state per se, this means a jew does not have to be religious to live in israel, he just has to be genetically jewish. Israel is the homeland of a race of people identified in the bible as "the Children of Israel". The Gaza strip is a religious government, Iran is a religious government. so if you have a problem about religion and politics in the modern world you should speak to them.

Jews were ordered by their own scripture to relinquish all authority/rule in that land! Having been ordered to disperse/leave, they abandoned any claim to Palestin/Jerusalem. This is why orthodox Jews oppose the very existence of the Israeli State.

Muslims then took ownership/authority over that land, and so it now belongs to them. They never willingly relinquished/abandoned that land - it was taken from them by force by the British/Zionists.
