  • My mam and gran, from Mayo use sour milk in the soda bread. I think it's because of my family being dairy farmers, than anything else. It works really well if you cant get buttermilk.

I never thought of making a pizza with soda bread. Thanks!!

  • No, you can just grease the tin. Grease it and then give it a good dusting of flour and it will be absolutely perfect!

  • @tastyribbons Made it for lunch and it turn out great. Thanks for the great recipe.

  • Do you have to put the dough on the sheet or can I just grease the tin?

  • Hiya :) I'm from Belfast and just came across your recipe, and I thought.. FINALLY someone has made soda bread CORRECTLY! My mum also makes her pizzas using a soda bread base, so I already know this recipe is delicious! Thank youuu <3

  • I love your traditional Irish recipes. Not sure where I can find the ingredients.I'm sure I can..I will check out stores here in the Dallas area to see what I can find...I really want to try this...

  • @toddalst Hi! I have just been receiving your comments. Thank you so much, so kind of you!

  • @toddalst @toddalst If you cannot find natural yogurt or buttermilk, squeeze 1/2 a lemon into 1 litre of whole fat milk and allow it to sour. What you need is the acidity in this to react with the bicarbonate of soda to make the bread rise. The flavour will be just as good.

  • Brilliant! Thanks so much! I hope you enjoy it!

  • Thanks you for this video, I love soda bread and I also love pizza. I have everything for this is my fridge. Will make it tonight.
