a) you can rarely work your tricep hard enough on this excercise to create microtrauma to your muscle.

Yeah nice demonstration, and good video to show how its done but to be honest, its a pretty pointless exercise. They dont really workout your triceps that well in anyway. Imo, the best tricep exercise is Tricep Dips. The best exercise. Then you can compliment it with some skull crushers. Anyways remember to do 6-8 sets for triceps, also biceps, no more... no less...
Yeah, I don't like this exercise for my triceps too. I do dips, skull crusher, close bench grip, tricep pushdown, and tricep pull down. Everyone has different preferences, that's why their so many different workout exercises.

@kirkathouse: fuck ya, I drop set these > 3 sets, heavy weight (45,30,20), 6-8 reps, short rest then back at it. They super burn-blast my triceps, usually save this one for the end of my tri routine. Scott's tri routine helped my bench go up even faster - strong tries = strong bench
honestly this is my favourite tri exercise, i always feel the soreness and i can feel the pump during too. i do mine a little different i dont use a bench and i do both arms at the same time, i jsut bend at the hip with a slight bend in the knees and perform each arm at the same time, keeping the upper arm parallel to the ground
Is this better to do with lighter weight but more reps or is more weights less reps ok too ? I'm 6 feet 160 , ~22bmi. Ive been doing weight - reps

@james9689 yes, i only use 4 kg dumbell...but there is pressure on my shoulders more than on my tricep...because iam trying to make it 90 degrees;
i skip tricep kickback... and do skull crashers and diffrent workouts where i can increase the weight...
