  • @kritas01 Shit I gave you a thumb up, I didn't want to do that it was a mistake. So before you think people are giving you thumbs up, I would like to tell you that tricep kickbacks are not better than skull crushers/pushdowns/overhead extensions.

    But if you keep on thinking the way you do, its okay because your arms are not mine.

  • @kritas01 how are there "so many different possibilities as answers" when it is proven that skullcrushers, overhead tricep extensions, pulldowns, pressdowns, pushdowns as well as close grip bench are far much better excercises for the tricep than kickbacks... and im only being arrogant because i know what im talking about and some tool who knows nothing insulted me... peace have a good day and remain small with your kickbacks

  • @kritas01 as well as your going to hit a plateau maybe three weeks into doing kickbacks where you will not be able to increase the dumbell weight at all.

  • @kritas01 lmfao dude do some research boy. what are you basing these outrageous claims on... google "tricep kickbacks useless" and you will find tons of information that is based on studies and facts.

    a) you can rarely work your tricep hard enough on this excercise to create microtrauma to your muscle.

    b) its an isolation excercise for such a small muscle that it will have little to no effect on your body while performing it.

  • @james9689 yes, i only use 4 kg dumbell...but there is pressure on my shoulders more than on my tricep...because iam trying to make it 90 degrees;

    i skip tricep kickback... and do skull crashers and diffrent workouts where i can increase the weight...

    Yes, you're not doing the proper form to hit the triceps fully with a proper stretch and also safely.

  • Yeah nice demonstration, and good video to show how its done but to be honest, its a pretty pointless exercise. They dont really workout your triceps that well in anyway. Imo, the best tricep exercise is Tricep Dips. The best exercise. Then you can compliment it with some skull crushers. Anyways remember to do 6-8 sets for triceps, also biceps, no more... no less...

    Yeah, I don't like this exercise for my triceps too. I do dips, skull crusher, close bench grip, tricep pushdown, and tricep pull down. Everyone has different preferences, that's why their so many different workout exercises.

  • @kirkathouse: fuck ya, I drop set these > 3 sets, heavy weight (45,30,20), 6-8 reps, short rest then back at it. They super burn-blast my triceps, usually save this one for the end of my tri routine. Scott's tri routine helped my bench go up even faster - strong tries = strong bench

    honestly this is my favourite tri exercise, i always feel the soreness and i can feel the pump during too. i do mine a little different i dont use a bench and i do both arms at the same time, i jsut bend at the hip with a slight bend in the knees and perform each arm at the same time, keeping the upper arm parallel to the ground
