Is it just me or at 5:05 do you still hear the scream when he holds out the Mic to the audience?

There is another video of the same concert where I can't hear that... But I can definitely hear his voice at 5:10. On PlanetVitas Website, there's Opera 2 live in Hangzhou 2009. You can hear him scream without the mic, despite the audience noise. Beijing 2008 has audience screaming with him, which sounds very similar, but it's way too far to be his voice. Audience does not scream in the Smile performance at Xian 2009, that and the Hangzhou concert is the best proof yet.

It's snippets of the Hangzhou concert recorded by TV News Station crew not official cameramen so there's no soundboard. Near the end in Opera 2 you can hear his voice without the mic for sure :D

Bueno para las personas que dicen que se escucha la voz de Vitas cuando aleja el microfono solo les quiero decir que es falso todo es por el video ya que hay un retraso de la imagen y el audio esta adelantado puede notarse en el minuto 4:44 al 4:46 por eso dicen algunos que se escucha la voz de Vitas pero no es verdad en el minuto 8:48 es lo mismo.

@bodjax no because often when he does that he closes his mouth you don't hear anything. In Bucharest he does that and closes his mouth but you still hear something, because the mic is recieving the yelling of the audience. Hangzhou 2009 and Moscow 2007 are the best we can hear of his voice without the mic.

hmm the audience is really loud, we can't hear vitas when he tries to show his voice without the microphone. His unamplified voice and the audience screaming (5:04) his notes are very similar. It COULD be his voice there but his mouth doesn't seem ready for that note. At 5:10, it appears to be his unamplified voice. Maybe not though, as the audience is very energetic, they're singing the interlude part with "badada" etc. A better example of Vitas' unamplified voice is Smile live in Xian.

Sound seems to be better in other concerts... It depends on the stadium, some stadiums just have really bad acoustics. Vitas sometimes does concerts in open areas at daytime with forests by the side, like the concert Jurmala, the only thing is a roof on the audience seats. There was another concert where the band is completely outdoor with like this old building behind...
