The Afghan & Iraqi wars were approved by Congress in 2001 and 2003 respectively, when Congress was still Republican, but both parties overwhelmingly supported the wars. In public opinion polls, conservatives like yourself overwhelmingly supported both wars. Liberals supported the Afghan war, but not the Iraqi war.
