  • i love the backing vocals on this track

  • This is soooooooo amazin.

  • is that simon from IDOL on PIANO?????

  • Leon is the man no doubt but sometimes a singer can give a song even if he didn't write it his own personal touch thus making it his own. That's what Marvine Gaye did to "I Want You." Note what Leon says in the beginning "the dearest moment in his life." Acknowledging the greatness of Mr. Gaye. That's humbling. This is a boss concert wish I was there.

  • Greatest jam!!!!!!!!

I love Marvin Gaye. This verision is so cool!!!

  • I prefer Leon's version of the song! This concert's awesome!!!!

  • Leon killed it!!!!

  • nice brother commenting from usa, good man but the man marvin, is the boss thats marvin song nice style like it . marvin was my favorite singer back in the day miss him ...peace.

  • SMOOOOOOOOOOOOTH!!!!

  • merci pour cette vidéo, quelle sensualité et quel talent, tout est bon. Est ce que quelqu'un sait si l'on peut trouver ce dvd? Bel hommage pour Marvin.++++

  • Michael Franti was gettin his groove on. lol

Wish I was there. The atmosphere looked so chill.

  • Let's not forget T-Boy Ross! (RIP) I'm sure Uncle Leon would agree that T-Boy's contribution to the "I Want You" project, as well as The Miracles "Renaissance", deserves recognition.

  • Un pur moment de plaisir. Excellent.

  • ziek, dope vid

  • There's something wrong with the beat. Like it's going very fast for the song. Anyway, this is GOOD.

  • Leon Ware is an absolutely magnificent song writer/producer, but Marvin Gaye gave Ware's music a sensuality that cannot be duplicated or recreated by anyone. Great post!:-)

  • inspirational

    done with pure love.

    thankyou!

  • A genius...release it on DVD

  • Brilliant! An amazing version I can't stop listening to.

  • Totally amazing - what a live performance!

  • Thank god for ever put this up...been looking for this for about a year!!!

  • Excellent, lots of emotion

  • Best version ever !

  • Marvin Gaye's "I Want You" album has Leon Ware written all over it. This dude's an incredible songwriter/producer!!

  • @detayl03 Leon is so good I started collecting all the tracks his written and produced. He seems to have the midas touch. Every track a winner. Try and find the Miracles track "Calling Out Your Name" written by Leon

  • @wayneb07 I just heard that Miracles track...Whoa, that joint is amazing!!!! Leon is the man!

  • thanks for sharing. he will be performing in the paradiso this friday again, and tickets are still available :-)

  • beautiful!!!

  • One of my favourite songs. This is a stunning performance.

  • best version I have ever heard. Thank you

  • Great video of Leon Ware....Thanks Van for the invite,5 *****..Marc Jones..Los Angeles,U.S.A. (Vocalist)

  • VanHoorelbeke , you rock for sending me this.. that was awesome..

  • we got the same name one of my favorite songs

  • Leon Ware has written songs for Marvin Gaye, Minnie Riperton, Bobby Womack, Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, Maxwell, Omar, Ike & Tina Turner, Isley Brothers, Parliament, and many more. Besides being a great songwriter, he is an incredible singer. Many of his cd's are hard to find and very valuable. Leon Ware is a living legend.

  • Carleen Anderson is downright gorgeous! I love how she's just grooving in the back, inspired by Ware's brilliant rendition of this classic

  • Carleen Anderson was with Young Disciples not Brand New Heavies.

  • 1999 - 2001, cut tracks for Trunk Funk.

  • Interesting - I didn't know that. I still think it would be more appropriate to list her as being from Young Disciples, as that is the band she is most often associated with (as far as the "acid jazz" era is concerned, while anything she did with BNH was more of a footnote. Now if it was N'dea or even Siedah Garrett... Thanks for the information, though!

  • @dillikins If you want to be totally accurate she Carleen was in the Young Disciples and was also a featured vocalist for the Heavies.

  • @dillikins Carleen Anderson was as U say with the young disciples and later joined the brand new heavies.

  • Unforgettable jam.

  • i hear you - will change it. only reason is her famous track with the Heavies ("Apparently Nothing") was my jam back in the day - especially the Artful Dodger mixes (never liked Young Desciples much). and with Leon here, she's still with the group.

  • It just dawned on me how many people were impacted by MG's music. Just look throughout the room. People of races, from the musicians to the audience are jamming to the song. It just goes to show that MG's music had no color barrier. It's great to see people of different races together for a common purpose. Listening to great music, That's just my .02.

  • I thought the guy on the keyboards at 59 seconds was American Idol's Simon Cowell at first. LOL!!

  • Co writer....the hell he is....let's get down

  • Formidable d'entendre interprêter la chanson par un de ses compositeurs. Classe!

  • So smooth, the original writer of I want You. Great posting. Thank-You.
