The only reason Mexico made it out of the group stage in 2006 is because they had a much easier group. Portugal was the only good team. Angola and Iran were the other two. The U.S. had the Czech Republic, Ghana and Italy in their group stage.

No it wasn't. The last neutral field meeting between the usa and mexico was in 2007 in the south american games. I think they played in panama but im not sure. Mexico won 2-0. Mexico rules Concacaf! The usa still has not won a sub -17 world cup or a confederations cup.
