see my other post for the fix -- not that i am overall quite pleased with the product, and have been using ALIX boards for over 6 years in a production environment -- I had two of the original dual unit 1-u cases as well, which used external power supplies, and thus did not suffer from this issue -- internal power supplies were the best improvement in the new version, and yet were so terribly implemented -- on both the input and output sides, as to actually make the product worse.
It's still a design flaw because you SHOULDN'T HAVE to remove the headers, and a simple change makes it possible to do so without any change in functionality.
This is not a design flaw. You have to remove the voltage injectors in order to take the system board out. The aluminium case is pretty neat and slick. Nice gear
