The password named Password Resetter was advertised that can reset a password with 99.9% of the time and actually it worked. I was able to get in to my PC and the good thing is that the password reset disk that was created with this software I am able to use it in future on any other PC to remove its password, administrator or user. another way you can do it is you can go down to the start button then type cmd then run as administrator then type 'net user (Administrator's username) * with the star thing at the end then it will tell you to type a password then type a password it will look like nothing is showing up but it will then just type the same password twice then all you have to do it you just have to log out and then log back in with the password that you chose no other passwords will work if you do this.

I tried OphCrack on my wifes LapTop. She runs Vista. I down loaded and burned a live cd from the Ophcrack web site just for windows vista. But when it ran. All I got in the end was Password not found. I ran OphCrack 3 times to make sure I did not do anything wrong. I double checked to make sure that she does in fact have 2 passwords on her laptop. In fact OphCrack said it found 2 passwords as it was looking to crack them. In came up that the passwords were not found. What is wrong?

it is just a bruteforce, it uses a password list to guess passwords at a fast rate.

Unfortunately using a password cracking program/livecd will take a while to either bruteforce or run through all dictionary words.

Just use Trinity Rescue kit, unlocks your pc in a matter of minutes.

Ophcrack is indeed useful (BAD)if your trying to find out your Boss or friends password to his/her machine without changing the password to something new.

Just my 2 cents.

super easy way to hack your vista password if you forgot or if you stole somebody else's. boot up the computer, as it boots up press the F8 key and a menu should pop up with a list of start up methods. Use the arrow keys to scroll down to "Safe Boot" with that you are automatically logged on as an admin and you can change the pass to something you remember (i think). if you cant then just boot up your graphics drivers and you'll be good to go. :) Your Friend, AMV Playa
