What I find interesting is that she was asked what she thought about the legalization of same sex marriage and then bombarded with criticism for giving her honest answer! I.e., "What's your take on this issue? (Oh, and by the way, if you answer in a way that displeases us, we'll mock you and never let you hear the end of it!)"

That was a really random question to ask at a beauty pageant. That's like asking who did you vote for in the presidential race. Kind of an out of bounds question for that kind of event. Probably some sort of political agenda behind it, otherwise there would be no reason to ask it.
