Try putting some explosives in an apple. The best way is to use a drill bit the perfect size or just a bit smaller, and use a little bit of plastic wrap if it isn't waterproof. Even a little black jack will create a decent crater.

they use a camera that films at 5000+ frames per second, then play it in 20 frames per second, probably more im not sure, but you cant slow-mo something just with editing, video is basically alot of pictures at once, if your filming at 30 pictures per second, you can only see 30 pictures of what happened in any given second. if that makes any sence, im not good at explaining things.

That was a great start. These shots where done at 7000 frames per second. We play back at 24 frames per second so 1second of real time is almost 5 minutes of screen time. We have 290 frames for every one that a normal camera shoots to give us the smooth action and detail. enjoy.
