Ash'aris and Maturidis use Ilm-ul-Kalam which has no basis from the Qur'an and Sunnah. The true Ahlul Sunnah are those who have the same 'aqeedah of the Salaf-us-Salih, which is to believe what Allaah (SWT) has described Himself with in the Qur'aan and what the Prophet (SAW) said about Allaah's Names and Attributes in the authentic Hadeeth without distorting, negating or giving a different meaning to any of it. @HoChoProductions You've obviously never studied a 'Ashari or Maturidi text. If you have, you would be innitiated to their methodology to understanding Aqida. It is from the Quran and Sunnah. You probably just read what shaykh Fawzan and Shuraym and other Wahhabi shaykhs say about the Asharis and Maturidis and just repeat it. I hope your not blindly following their words.

I suggest you refrain from using the 'Wahhabi' label brother. It is a label created by the kuffar to create disunity amongst the Ummah. And for that matter, I know you refer to the people who admire Sheikh Muhammad ibn AbdulWahhab as 'Wahhabi'. In actual fact, those who admire AbdulWahhab don't want to get rid of the 4 madhabs, because even AbdulWahhab himself was ascribed to the Hanbali madhab, yet he did not restrict himself to it to the point of blind following like most people do nowadays.

Shaykh Muhammad ibn Abdul-Wahhab's father was a Qadi according to the Hanbali madhhab in the Najd. When in Madina, both Muhammad ibn AbdulWahhab's brother and father began warning the people against him because he was deviating from what was agreed upon in the Hanbali school as well as what the Aimatudeen taught.

I respect the understanding he gives to the Hanbali theological tradition even though he disagrees with it. To be fair though the conflict came from other groups as well. George Makdisi writes about how certain major Ashari thinkers attempted to actually shift the theological foundations of the Shafi'i madhab from the "Hanabli" creed to the Ashari.
