  • Good overview of the area. Yes, the McNally Fire in 2002 torched a lot trees :(. Good to see areas are growing back and the Hot Springs are still good.

  • @ Davidsquall351....We started at 8,976.4 ft and descended to 6,510.8 ft in 6.88 miles, then headed back up.

  • We just hiked this yesterday! 13.5 miles round trip from Blackrock trail head down to the hot springs and back up again. Shew! Neat hot springs. I didn't see any of the cabins in your video. We filmed Shorty's cabin and the General store and the Lodge as well.

  • @TheValkaymo Cool how high was Ninemile Creek? I want to go soon too.

  • I filtered my water on the foot bridge (same spot) too. :)

  • @puisworld Its some good water :)

  • This spot looks amazing! What state is it in?

  • @mzzsashaYes it was nice, I am going back this summer for sure. It's in California near Kennedy Meadows.

  • Wow, that looks gorgeous! I like your camera work.

  • @MsSpy Thanks :)

  • What a beautiful area!! Looked so peaceful. :)

  • Great video! Looks like a relaxing trip.

  • Hello David, Super video. Lovely and professional. I need hot springs.

  • Great video David, The tripod shots were good. Makes for some nice steady shots. Also liked your written description.

  • @Zoexena Thanks Colin, I need to take more shots with a tripod. When I dont use the tripod I shake like heck and my cheap camera amplifies it...Hehe.

  • Thanks again for a great vid...

  • @naik3002 :)

  • the place looks great! headed there next year because of this. broke 3 of those filters over the past few years. they have changed the quality of the material... it's junk now. i use a steri-pen, lighter, kills all and has the cool factor.

  • @barrykolsky Hey, if you go to the falls its located on Ninemile creek right below the Soda Flat area. Look for lots of granite. Theres a cabin there on Soda Flat(private property). Just follow the barb wire fence around the privatre property downstream to a little used trail to the brink.Watch your step by the brink loose soil and big exposures.

  • same part broke of my katadyn filter, they sent me a replacement part for free

  • @acewinchester Mine is not under warranty anymore. Im looking at a Katadyn Pocket .......... but man its pricey :) I like the stainless steel housing.

  • Awesome! A good place to be when the mountain is covered in snow.

  • Is that the Nine Mile Canyon you see off the 395 near the Kennedy Meadows turn off? I think there is also a 5 mile canyon near there too.

  • @mobiltec Yup, you take that turnoff for Kennedy Meadows and drive 40 miles up the mountain to 9,000 feet to the trailhead.

  • @mobiltec Thanks! I'm definately gonna do it.

  • Nice, I need to do some camping like this; long term.

  • @BIHS54 its fun......do it.

  • Totally cool video. What trailhead did you enter on?

  • @enjoythewildUSA Black rock Camp is the trailhead. Long drive to get there but we only saw one person in the canyon in three days.... its out there :)

  • I'm sure I've said this before, but I always enjoy watching your adventures!

  • @luvwestern Thanks!
