  • please tell me where to purchase a set, other than a forum much apreciated bro.

  • how did you get the lip

  • EXCELLENT vid!!! What song is that?

  • @sLydFXv6 - thanks! Astroline - close my eyes. There are a few video's on youtube on this classic.

  • Did that.. And mine came off around 135 mph.. the connections and 3m was not enough to hold it. So I guess i have to get an STI bumper setup to do it properly

  • Awesome video. Well done!!!

  • nice good job and good how to

  • So the lip bolts on perfectly without any drilling?

  • @atim0tea - No, because I have the wagon, the holes did not line up (except for a few in front for which I put pop-up fasteners). I had to put screws in on the sides or drill holes and put speednuts (forget which one I did now--speednuts aka u-nuts are more secure than just screws).

  • @mishmosh2000 ^^^ seeing as this is somewhat of a tutorial, things like that are really good to know for someone planning to do this. I did this exact same thing to my 05 rex sedan and the lip was a huge pain in the ass to put on, because the fasteners wouldnt fit in each hole of the wrx, i ended up having to use my splitter bolts and clips in other areas, as well as not being able to use the screws the lip came with because there's nothing on the bumper to thread them into.

  • 13,979 people have done this mod to their subbie.

  • im not familiar with this but you have to put the splitters overlapping the bumber

  • Whats that tool called that u use to cut the holes and things?

  • @hi2u2ok - I used a battery-powered Dremel.

  • ecellent job. My only concern is that the vlimited lip doesn't line up with the splitter. It seems short for some reason..

  • the music is INTENSE!

  • Very nice d00d, those splitters are a nice touch as well as the front lip.

  • hey do you think i could do this to a 2002 wrx and how much did you pay for all the parts and could i get a link to where you got them

    thanks

  • Splitter and lip together... under $300 shipped. Check out the comments section for vendors.

  • ok thanks to bad they wont fit but its better that i save for a newer car anyways thanks again great vid

  • You cannot do this if you have a bugeye, sorry.

  • couldnt you of just drilled two holes in ur bumper instead of completely breaking the clips off...

  • Certainly, but to me, it doesn't add much and to be effective, you have to get the holes perfectily placed. If you wanted, some 3M extra heavy duty mounting tape on that front side will also work. I did not add anything and that front is on tight with no gaps.

  • wow, thanks for the video. Hopefully i will get my rex wagon and try this out my self. And P.S its not an ugly duckling

  • Awesome video guide. Thanks for making it and sharing with the Subaru Community!

  • Hey Mishmosh2000 just curious to see if you have had any issues with the splitters staying on at highway... or higher speeds?

  • @thesubaru123 - no issues at all. They are on solid!

  • @mishmosh2000 Great, thanks a lot I appreciate the reply, and the rex looks great

  • where can i buy these splitters?

  • @myshitiscustom - I think any dealer can order them but see the video info section to the right.

  • very professional man.

  • looks good man. i just helped my friend put splitters and a v-limited lip on his 05 wrx sedan. btw, i have an 07 wrx sedan.

    subie love!

  • nice post, i have a my05 sedan. do you install it exactly the same way?

  • Pretty much. For the sedan, fitment should be perfect--you just need the 3 slots on either side for the splitter.

  • really nice mate, im now going down to the garage to fit my new splitter! thankyou!!!

  • Thanks for making this I will be doing this soon, and just made me feel a little more comfortable about it. :)

  • I hear you. I had the same uneasiness before doing it as well--nobody want to mess up their baby. But as you'll find, it is hard to mess up. Take you time and enjoy the process.

I recently added the factory side spats to give the rear of the vehicle some fullness to match the front. I like it a lot!

  • Nice after I get the splitters and lip, I'm gonna hunt down some Sedan fenders and run those on it :) pretty excited clean wagon btw

  • soooo clean!!!!

  • this looks so nice :)

    great work

and do u think they have one for an 04 cavalier?

  • Great video. Nicely done!

  • WOW VERY NICE CLEAN LOOK !!

  • Great job for looking better in WRX Wagon!

  • Nice Job! You've inspired me to do the same. Question about your headlights; what are they and where did you get them?

  • I have an H1 HID conversion kit (from a NASIOC vendor a few years back) and made sure to lower the aim to avoid glare. My fogs have yellow vinyl overlays. thanks for the comments!

  • Loweing springs would complete it! :)

(Unless it doesnt need them with your Rotas

  • WORD!

  • great job, makes a big difference, looks a little more aggressive like the sti.

  • dude looks great but if you put Sti rims it would look even better

  • most definitely. The OEM rims are my winter tire set. I have Rota SDR's for my summer set and they do look alot better.

  • nice

  • awesome makes a big difference

  • What color are those splitters? Platinum silver or Crystal Gray? Thanks

  • Platinum silver.

  • Thanks!!

  • Beautiful! Beautiful! Makes a world of difference! I've got an '05 Wagon, and will be getting the splitters and lip now and doing this. Thanks so much for posting!

  • I've had mine on for several months now and STILL can't get over how good it looks. Really transforms the wagon!!!

  • wow just got my splitters and this totally helped out man....thanks a lot!!!!!

  • This is the type of video youtube needs more of. This video is actually helpful. Thanks!

  • that looks amazing. great video.

  • Great video, thanks for posting.

  • sweet vid dude thanx in 5 years i wiil use this info lol !!!

  • Thanks for the vid! Got the splitters yesterday and the BaysonR lip today and will be probably be installing them on my '04 JBP WRX Wagon this weekend.

  • thanks for the vid. REALLY helpful! i'm planning to do this exact same mod with the v limited lip from baysonr hahaa. But i'm doing this to my aspen white sedan. anyways thanks again and your wrx looks great after the mod!

  • thanks! I am sure you will LOVE the change!!!

  • great vid ... keep it up

  • This video is so helpful thanks so much!!

  • is it hard to install the lip? im not sure about the splitters i have on willl they bolt up?

  • the v-limited lip is made to go with the sti splitters. fitment is better on the sedan. whatever bolts/retaining fasteners line up, you use. anthing that doesn't, you drill a hole for. not hard. just the lip will take about an hour.

  • very nice!!!

    great job!

  • i have the sedan. just a slight cosmetic mod like this makes our car looks so much more aggresssive!

  • Now put fog covers

  • ok now i got the splitters from someone on ebay. and this vid helps alot. thanks

  • Cool! Do you have a sedan or wagon?

  • wow good vid man..

  • thanks for the vid!!! i have an 04 wrx and was thinking about doing the exact same thing; splitters and a lip. wanna go sti but its so expensive!

  • I like I like

  • that really come out nice.........good job!
