mcdonaly 11 years older than remy, went through about 6 rounds before the final while remy went through 1 and he was still ripped off. again shows remy is not the most effective champion of all time
@travelingnomad1 Still better get a different coach for that and start at beginner level. Otherwise you get problems that are real predictable. McDonald shows it at 2:15-2:20, he steps in heavy, which is real good for boxing.
But in kickboxing it's childsplay to hold it off, sidestep, and then lowkick at full power. Bonjasky really made an effort to show off how that gives him tactical superiority; he hardly bothered to punch, knewing he could win it with his legs.
eusoufodaviu well I mean no disrespect to Michael mcdonald. I was a big fan of him but then Like i didnt like when he is just give up on some of his fight. but man no disrepect i just feel like maznhoef is a better fighter then he is
Melvin's a great fighter, but how can you say that ? Do you have an idea the goals the McDonald have acomplished ? The guy is one of the best in north america.
this was remy on his best when he was training at mejiro...see the style ..is mejiro style...fighting spirit...its to bad that he left the school where he was started muay thai by andre mannaart
these commentators dont know what the fuck they are talking about, any kickboxer knows how much a leg kick hurts and its impact takes effect immediately if its kicked properly, these guys are goofs commentating
NO,you dont understand, it hurts right away, but a good fighters can take the pain, the problem is later when they get hit too many times they start to lose control of their legs and cant stand up.

McDonald is an absolute stud. This was one of the best K1 fights I've ever seen. Too bad McDonald didn't win but this fight was incredible!

Michael reminds me of melvin manhoef.... Could be the similar height and fighting shorts.
420dimebag 2 years ago
Yeah, he's a little bit taller than Manhoef and he kicks higher, but they do fight similar.

LOL at the commentators giving the first round to MacDonald! That was a methodical dismantling Amsterdan style.

They don't seem to notice that remy is blocking a lot of McDonald's shots either.
