Hope this fantastic instrument eventually gets a new console, those tabs don't look terribly ergonomic and they look a bit cheap to me. A nice solid oak console would be great... How's the project coming on, by the way? Haven't heard anything of it for a while...
That's a very odd arrangement, with stoptabs above the manuals for such a large instrument, isn't it? I've seen it on a Schlicker before, didn't like it then either...regardless, good luck. This is a Kilgen, I'm guessing from the tags?
I really would have liked the fugue to have been included. I'm not overly fond of the Toccata, but I love the fugue. The opening was a bit on the long side, what with the gigantic pauses.
That perspective changes once one listens to the room. In America, it can be quite difficult find a real spacial ambience, so it's easy to understand how sometimes that's overlooked and under-considered.
Where is the rest of fugatum ????

Oh come on, not overly fond of the toccata? I love both, equally.

I find the fugue far more interesting sonically than the toccata, and it certainly isn't as overplayed as the toccata.

AHH!! NO! He plays wonderfully but the fugue just had to be cut off!?!?

Possibly a timing consideration for youtube as well.

No less than awesome! This performance gives the cliche "tubular" a whole new meaning.

Hey Joe! Could you please post the stoplist of this organ? Or send it to me in a message? Thanks! I love all of the work you do!
