  • Wonderfully read Richard . Many many thanks.

I'm aware that Robert Frost is one of your favourite poets. Did you know that he spent a good deal of time in England prior to and during the WW1 where he met , befriended and encouraged my own favourite poet Edward Thomas. Their friendship was touchingly close and both wrote great wistful, retrostective poetry. If you can find the time please try my own Thomas favourite "Aldestrop" - I'd love to hear you read it one day.

  • @halothewynd1 Thanks Eddie. No, I did not know that about Frost and Thomas, but I can see where they had a lot in common.

Adlestrop, very beautiful. I will read that in a video soon. Thanks for pointing it out to me.

    Bests

After the pleasure your videos have given me over the years you're more than welcome Richard .

I'll certainly look forward to your reading of Adlestrop. All the best - Eddie.

  • Beautiful and reminds me of time long ago too with so much philosophy of life pained there.

  • @geriatric1927 Thanks Peter. I find a lot in this fine poem that reflects my feelings also. Going away but coming back and starting all over again sounds like a plan to me too.
