I got it from Billy Sheehan! With the left, just tap the 'octave' then venture wherever you prefer (I like to go from the 'octave' to the 'major' position (adding the 'pinky') when descending). With the right, just tap the two strings you skipped with the left when getting the octave and put'em together. Sheehan taps 'octaves' with both hands, so it pretty much just boils down to skipping strings and trying to maintain it at high velocity.... Check it out!
